@governmentslaves I very well understand your point, but what I trying to say is that AMERICA in general held him in high esteem and probably white people more so than anybody. He's a golfer, in a predominately white sport, the whites are the ones that elevated him and gave him his image, and when he fell from grace they were the ones who were probably the most affected. His audience and demographic was more catered to whites...regardless of race everyone was shocked and appalled..

I get your point but blacks as well held him in the highest regards because he broke the barrier of a dominated white sport. It's like it would be huge to have a sucessful black swimmer or race car driver. It may happen but this too is a prodomintaly white sport.
