See my video above: First attempt! If I can make a video at the first attempt. While travelling along public roads. Just holding the camera in my hand. Then others can make a far better quality video on a dead smooth track on a recumbent trike! A camera on the rider's helmet is obviously a very bad idea! Let's try harder, shall we?
Use your common sense to judge the video and my constructive comments. Not your emotions. They take their cycling incredibly seriously. Why not their videos too? Taping a camera to the machine instead of the rider would give a far more realistic experience of actually taking part in the activity of track racing on bikes and trikes. Human beings never see themselves rocking about like this in the real world. It is a complete distortion of reality and rather pointless in my humble opinion.
A 41 second video padded out to 1.41 looking at people standing around is just silly and does not respect your audience. Mounting the camera on the machine instead of the rider would also make more sense to avoid unwanted camera movement. Keep trying though as there is great potential in this sport for video. :-)
My criticisms are always intended to be constructive. By pointing out the obvious I hope to help others to improve their video making skills. I would expect nothing less from others regarding my own feeble attempts to capture motion. In my humble opinion this video fell far short of its true potential. It is not bad manners to say so. It is constructive criticism. I hope to see much better results in future. Would you prefer a patronising "well done chaps"? ;-)
You may be well intentioned but to say "..is just silly and does not respect your audience..." shows you really need to work on your manners. He has chosen to share this group as well as the ride for his own reasons; nothing disrespectful about this, nothing silly either.
I will post no sea sick video next time.

Should we ask 123nifty what is Japanese for "I'm feeling sea sick"? ;-)
Seriously though: Fix the camera on the trike! You know it makes sense. :-)

C'mon Tricyklist, get some manners. The universe doesn't revolve around your specifications.
