They surely are beautiful instruments, and when I want to make smooth, bland and homogenised music played through shedloads of rack equipment into (no doubt) a mesa boogie amp, I'll buy one. What's that I hear? You disagree? Find me a Neil Young kind of guy who plays a PRS. You Can't. And an Angus Young while you're at it. Everybody knows that while he made great selling records with a PRS, Santana made better, more pure, ground breaking music before he played one. Before you say Santana...
Best guitars in the world, no doubt. After playing many, many brands of guitars, from Fender to Jackson to Gibson, the only guitars that feel comfortable to me as soon as I pick them up have been PRS guitars. They are perfect from craftsmanship, to playablity, to tone. This video is a true testament to the quality of these guitars. I love it!
it all depends on how you look at it. Gibsons ARE a good brand of guitar and feel wonderful with an unmistakeable tone.. but honestly, PRS guitars are put through alot more human-work than Gibsons, and you can tell. It's a certain craftsmanship out of PRS that you can't get out of any other guitar.
If i had a choice between the two, i'd probably get a PRS.
@XeroJager No better way to say the truth ! PRS is to my mind one if not the one guitar brand who reaches the artistic field of guitar making, whereas Gibson or Fender, even though these are great guitar brand, have not. You will never find a Fender of a Gibson with the same amount of passion and love an artist such as Paul can put into an instrument.
