  • OhhhhHHH NoooOO!

  • It's funny how the dramatic music plays when they say they're not Christian. Americans and their faith-rooted, bigoted idiocy.

  • "OH NO!"

  • Funny. xD Someone should overlay the dramatic chipmunk with the audio from this. :p

  • "Oh noo" bahahahahaa

  • It's hard to loosen up and laugh a little when there are millions of people in society that A: Want's you dead B: is trying to kill you C: wishes your children to burn in hell for an eternity.

No, it's not the Atheist who needs to loosen up

  • @baldurus1 Well I don't want any of those things for atheists! And I don't personally know any Christians who do, but I know that there are definitely some who are like that. Please don't judge an entire group based on a few bad seeds.

  • @jojochere few? i know plenty of people... this isnt some minority we are talking about.

  • @RaitoDenki I suppose. But speaking only for myself, I am NOT that type of Christian.

  • @jojochere Moderate christians like you really need to realize that the fundamentalist conservative christians make up the majority of your religion. So it's not just a "few" bad seeds. Please wake up.

  • @jojochere You can't just hide behind the idea that "you're not that type of Christian" either though. I think that moderate Christianity allows a place for Fundamentalism to grow by giving the Fundamentalists a place to hide. Moderate Christians should be just as upset by the fundamentalists as the atheists are and by not acting on your disapproval of them, you're enabling them.

  • @RaitoDenki If a Christian wants someone to DIE and WANTS someone to go to Hell, they're not a christian...

  • @WonderfulMrShyne erm... they are. in fact there are MILLIONS of christians that HATE atheists, and if they see them they like to "snap" comments like 'hope you enjoy hell', and shit like that. in fact after they say those kind of comments they like to smile, showing how much they really care for us. like I said before, you don't need to be MORAL to be a christian, neither do you need to be an atheist to be immoral.

  • @RaitoDenki i certainly have never met any members of the couple of churches that ive gone to that wish death upon anybody. my family in particular will except anybody no matter who they are or what they stand for.

  • @MrSupasexi yes and you know everyone as you know yourself right? you know their thoughts and desires? its funny... when christians say something like "hope you enjoy your stay in hell" and then they give us a smirk.

  • @jojochere you all believe in a magic man in the sky without any evidence, right? I mean that's the basis of being religious. Any 34 year old man that think the tooth fairy is real is stupid and a fucking asshole, just like all of you with your iron age palestinian made sky wizard :)

  • @BrendanIsCool Yeah, I'm an asshole, yet you're the one talking trash. Yeah... That's intelligent and sure does make you a better person :))

  • @jojochere I agree with literally everything you just said.

  • @baldurus1 What's sadder is when your own FAMILY wants you dead for being an atheist.

  • LMAO, I love that it tried to act all melodramatic when she announced that. I'm an atheist, and I found this hilarious. I don't understand why other atheists would get all snarky with you. :P

  • @greysquare7 Well thank you for seeing the humor in it!! :)

  • @jojochere heck if anything it's insulting to christians.

  • Atheist internet show. Wonder which one?

  • The comments saying the child is unintelligent are absurd, how old is he? 8? 9? he doesn't need to be 'intelligent' at that age.

Plus, I don't think anyone can claim they weren't brainwashed at his age - be it by your favourite TV show or character. Children emulate, and that's all he was doing, like any other young child. Cut him a break.

  • @Epionea Well said!!

  • Ew new

  • this was pretty funny, and i'm an atheist. boo to the people who downvoted.

  • @Sambonable Lol, I'm glad you enjoyed it!!

  • Of course it's funny---even the show producers had fun with her admission of atheism by the editing in of the child's comment and by the use of ominous and scary music.

What's not so funny is that some people DO react this way when introduced to an atheist.

  • @sweetsweatyfeet Agreed!

  • Anyone know where I can watch this episode online for free?

  • What family and episode of wife swap is this?

  • @Thestoneofdoom I have no idea. I'm sorry. I have tried to find out, but to no avail.

  • Is this real? Can anyone give me an episode number or something, I must watch it!

  • lol "ohh no" like it's the worst possible senario

  • @happyhappy85 LOL, Ikr

  • I want to watch the whole episode.

  • She is DARKSIIIIDED!

  • lmao.

  • Love the dramatic music. XD

  • @CrypticMantisTX55 Lol!! Me too!!

  • Christians are funny.

  • This made me laugh, because it's so funny the fact that little kids today are THIS brainwashed :s hopefully when he goes to school he'll gain some reason of tought and understand things, just like a intelligent human being.

  • why would u show religious proganda in such a short clip and so bad quality. my guess is that if u showed a few seconds more nobody would question what kind of crap that is

  • @d7gh2u99wd Honestly, I just thought the "oh no" was funny and cute. I wasn't trying to promote any religion.

  • @jojochere: Not trying to promote your religion? "Love ya Jesus!" in the subtitle? You idiot.

  • @Drucef What I meant was that I was not trying to preach Christianity. I simply thought the boy's "oh no" was funny. But thanks for taking the time to comment an "idiot"! =)

  • lol... ATHEISM!!!!!!

  • OH NO!!!!

  • I laughed at the same time you did. xD

  • Episode?

  • I'm sorry, but I really have no idea

  • love the OH NO! lol, i am actually really surprised how many people in america believe in god to that serious level though, im supposed to be from 1 of the most christian countries in the world (Britain) and we actually have more practicing Muslims than Christians who go to church and stuff.

  • Omg I loved the "dadadaaaaa""Oh no." Funny. Where can I see the episode?

  • Hahaha! I say the end of this show when it aired and I was amazed by the blinders people have on. The mother of the Christian family freaked out in the end and said that all the people that were running the show were from Satan. LOL!

    Stupid people.

I love it when my son comes home and tells me about kids that ask him about god and he gives them a big slap in the face when he says "sorry, I don't really believe in fairy tales". :)

  • The boy was thinking

    'get behind me satan'

Praise Jesus our Lord and Saviour.

  • Lol, AMEN!

  • thats so cute<3 i love jesuss<3

wow these people are so dunbb down here

    vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv

  • I love Him too!

  • God = Santa Claus for adults!

  • Mmmm no not really. Maybe the ones u know

  • Good Lord I love this show. XD

  • What ep. is this?!!!!!! I want to know :(

    Poor brainwashed kid

  • Idk what episode it is, but u might can YouTube it and I don't think he's brainwashed, u can kinda tell they edited and cut parts to make him say that right at that part so who knows what was said just before it

  • ooooh no /cry

  • Hahahahahahahaha! I can hear you laughing. That is funny! :-D

    I'm an Atheist.

  • LOL, I know I laughed too loud to be recording. But good for you, I love the Lord

  • Video's description: "Lil boy sacred of Non-Believer! Too cute! Love ya Jesus!"

You are delighted that a kid has been taught such intolerance and fear that he becomes physically upset by the mere mention of 'atheist?'

The kid is too young to have developed independent thoughts about religion and God. Instead, he's been instilled with fear and threat of damnation.

Way to raise the kids: intolerate and judgemental; to have opnions based, not on evidence, but on fairy tales and lies.

  • As apposed to the idiot Dan that was the Athiest son in this show I would happily live with the brainwashed religious people. Dan was a fucking Idiot.

  • The arguement could be made that Dan was harsh, but he's no idiot. He simply demanded proof that God exists and the religious mom could only talk about her 'feelings.' Then she starts to cry, unable to accept criticism from a child.

Who's the idiot? The full grown parent who can't defend their core beliefs or a teenager who asks for evidence before he believes in something?

If you think Dan's the idiot... well, I'm sorry, but you might want to look in the mirror for the correct answer.

  • I totally agree with you. She should be able to defend what she believes and teens are at the age when they want explanations for everything. I love God tho, no doubt =)

  • I love God... but I don't believe in Jesus as God, just like I don't believe in Muhammed or Allah.

I just want some proof or evidence that one is right over another, and such evidence does not exist. Therefore, people jumping from Point A "God" to Point B "Jesus / Allah" makes no sense to me... and definiately doesn't justify killing over, as seen in historical religious wars.

  • Oh, no I don't believe in religious wars either because what do they prove, ya know? Oh if I win then that means it's Jesus and not Allah? I don't think we should kill over it. But I do believe in Jesus, but I also respect your opinion.

  • A faith in Jesus in of itself isn't a bad thing... there are a lot of people that focus on the good message of Jesus, like the message of MLK and Ghandi -- Universal Love and Non-Violence.

However, that's not the literal message of Jesus in the Bible. But, I believe, the true words and meaning of a prophet named Jesus have been changed and coerced for the convience and power of the Church -- the same people Jesus is said to have preached against while alive.

  • What do you mean those aren't the literal words? You don't believe He spoke of love and non-violence? I mean I know He talks about Him bringing not peace, but a sword. I just think that means for us not to be overly passive, but to stand up for what we believe in.

  • There are many literal passages in the Bible where Jesus preaches violence. He also commands the stoning of children for disobeying their parents, and he came to divide, not unite people.

Like I said, I think a lot of crap got thrown in there because there's a lot of conflicting morals from Jesus. If you focus on the love and non-violence, then he begins to sound just like MLK and Ghandi, which would make sense as to why He "wow'd" people 2,000 years ago with his crazy, new age Love talk.

  • Could u tell me where the Scripture is that He commands that? I haven't read that. And I think the whole division thing was not to necessarily keep the saved and unsaved separate, but to help the saved not stumble. Just like if you were an alcoholic and did a 12 step program or something, it would be smart for you not to spend time with your friends who may drink a lot. But we are still to reach out to them.

And I think a lot of His morals are situational. Like a specialized message.

  • Matthew 10:33 - 10:37 for division.

More Jesus: "Not only that, any man who marries a divorced woman is an adulterer."

Plus, a married man can sleep with unmarried women; only if he sleeps with a married woman is it adultery. However, a married woman sleeping with anyone not her husband is an adulterer.

Morals should be common sense. If you don't believe in torture, until its your ass on the line, then what does that say about your morals when they are discarded for convience?

  • Okay as for that Scripture, I've read it before and I don't think He meant it as just coming in and breaking up families, but if your family is keeping you from Jesus like, telling you not to believe or something, then you should separate yourself from them and follow Him.

I'm not trying to be petty, but can I have exact Scriptures for those? If not, then it's fine, I'm not trying to be rude or "religious".

  • And yeah they should be, but for many people they aren't. I don't believe in torture. Like how they were waterboarding the Iraqi people? That's HORRIBLE! I'm glad President Obama made it illegal.

  • Actually, both sides were extreme and don't represent christians or atheists. He was too loud and the reason I say he is an idiot is because he simply couldn't control himself. She was too damn weak to stand up which is totally not a representation of most christians. Wife swap does this on purpose for the sake of the show. If anyone appeared brainwashed or indoctrinated, it was the atheist.

  • Comment removed

  • He didn't come off as arrogant, he proved it... Everyone has the intelligence to question a religion, everybody does question religion. Even religious people question religion by not accepting other religions as their own. There is no absolute proof that there isn't a god, or is. I believe there is, but that's my belief. However, This young man is a common example of someone attacking, not questioning, but attacking the beliefs of an older, weaker person. That's a true sign of a jerk.

  • In regards to the young children and the family saying OH NO when they heard the family was atheist, it was probably due to the stereotype that Atheists are disrespectful, loudmouth, and non moral... The kid played the fiddle well in his dealings and inability to control his redicule of the woman over a faith he cannot absolutely disprove, NOBODY CAN.

  • Always the atheists that think God is negative....Come on dude.

  • umm,i dont think you understand

    wiki '' Argument from ignorance''

  • True, I hate when media doesn't display the real Christians. But only the weak ones or ones who say God hates gays. He hates homosexuality NOT the person.

  • The fact that you believe homosexuality is a sin against God just reveals your brainwashing and disregard for reality.

First, gays are born gay, and thus, gay by God.Would God purposefully create a gay person just to punish them forever in Hell for being gay? Sounds like a sick and twisted God... which, unfortunately, does line up with the Biblical God, but not my beliefs.

It makes no difference whether gay is a choice or not. Religion is nothing but a choice and its a protected right.

  • I don't believe gays were "born" gay. And I don't consider myself to be "religious", but I consider myself to have a relationship with Him and I stand on His Word. I don't go around beating people with the Bible and I don't believe that homosexuality is any greater sin than someone being a hoe, for lack of a better term. I try to reach people with the love of God, not the fear of hell. I would NEVER go up to a gay person and ask them don't they know it's a sin and that they're goin to hell.

  • Why this need to label gays as sinners? What is it about gays that is so offensive?

The only justification against gays is "because the Bible says so." And, for me, "because I say so" has never been a good enough reason for anything since I was a little kid.

I want answers and explanations... that's what science is great for. Rather than just saying "God did it," science figures it out. And, in all honesty, studying the universe brings one closer to God and Love.

    Do you know any gays?

  • (Part 1) I mean I think that we are all sinners, I'm not trying to single them out or anything, I was just clarifying. I don't see them and say "Oh there goes a sinner." Nor am I offended by them. When I see a feminine acting man, it kind of weirds me out though. And that's not based on the Bible at all, it's just my sole opinion. I'm not trying to be mean or judgmental by it, it's just one of those things that bothers me.

  • (PArt 2) But I do believe they deserve equal rights, not marriage though. I don't think they should be denied services based on their sexuality. Because, like you're saying, they're STILL people.

And yes, I do stand on the Word. I just don't think that God meant for us to be homosexual. Like how people say Adam & Eve not Adam and Steve? (Again NOT trying to be mean or "religious" at all) I just feel like He meant for it to be man and woman.

  • It's true that science can explain a lot of things, but not everything. Like you know how people ask who created God? I want to know if there is not God, and the "Big Boom Theory" is true, then where did the stars come from?? If no one can tell me that then why would they expect me to tell them where God came from? I know that's off topic, but yeah...

I don't know any personally, not on purpose though, I just don't....

  • Saying that science doesn't have the answer, thus religoin must be true is absurdly naive. "God did it" is no more an answer than believing Apollo's chariot chases the sun across the sky.

Let's not forget 1992 was when the Catholic Church / Pope admitted that the Sun is the center of the solar system, and apologized for locking up Galileo for proving that truth over 400 years prior.

Last time I checked, in a free America, rights are only supposed to be taken away from convicted criminals.

  • I'm not saying necessarily RELIGION must be true, but the Bible. I was just saying that since science cannot prove everything and its supposed to be so knowledgeable, then how can people expect believers of the Bible to know all the answers. That was my point.

And I don't know too much about that. I've heard, but haven't really studied it. Did the Pope lock him up b/c he (the Pope) believed God was the center?

And yeah, okay u got me there!

  • Religion claims to have all answers... that's why they have fought anyone who proves them wrong. Galileo, himself, said that the Bible didn't say the Earth has to be the center of the universe, but that was the Church's stance on the Bible, and thus, "the word of God." Galileo repented his claim and received house arrest for the remainder of his life. His assistant didn't know when to shut his mouth and he was "dealt with harshly."

That's how religion rewards the pursuit of truth.

  • Oh ok. Well that was the Pope's fault for not researching the Bible before he went off jailing people. Don't blame an entire religion for certain people's mistakes. My pastor always says to know the word for yourself. The Pope obviously went off of traditional beliefs that had been passed down.

And I believe in open-mindedness. I mean, no I might not agree with everything someone has to say, but I learn a lot, like I'm learning a lot from you. Some people are just stupid and closed-minded.

  • You're missing the whole point: ordinary, fallible humans get to decide what the Bible says. How great a book of God can it be when its meaning and stories can be stretched, twisted, and bent to justify anything? The Bible has these evil, dirty morals in it that people can choose to abide by. Most rational humans reject such antiquated beliefs because they are wrong ideas. But, they are still in the Bible. That's the problem -- people can still justify slavery, or killing gays, using the Bible!

  • So true! But that doesn' t mean they're right. Or that the Bible should be discarded based on how we humans choose to view it and use it.

But if you don't believe in the Bible, yet you believe in God, what is your belief system of God based on?

  • Ever heard of Taoism? Its a philosophy, not a religion. Thus, I'm very spiritual while also very anti-religion.

I believe in teachers like MLK, Ghandi, and John Lennon... modern day heroes who preached something we still haven't grasped: universal love and non-violence.

I believe as Einstein did: looking out over the universe, you cannot help but be humbled and realize that there's a higher meaning, a higher purpose to life that our primitvely evolved brains can't grasp.

  • Nope, haven't heard of it. But okay, it sounds pretty cool. U may disagree, but I don't consider myself to be religious...

I'm glad you don't believe that the world just created itself though. That's just stupid. Like how the hell some stars gonna explode and create all this varying life, like plants AND people AND insects AND animals??

  • I'm sure you've heard the expression "We are all Stardust." In the beginning, there was only Hydrogen and Helium... only through the life and death of generations of stars did the heavier elements spew forth; the ones necessary for life as we know it: carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, iron... then a rocky planet like ours could form and intelligent life could develop to ask "Why?"

The most primitive life on earth are extremephiles -- microscopic life in places we never thought life could exist.

  • What if God wanted gays? How would you know? Religious authorities say that God hates gays, but science is showing that gays are born that way... and, as you firmly believe, God is the creator of all. Is He just really screwing up or is it possible that humans have misunderstood God's will, like we have on hundreds of issues over thousands of years?

Marriage is a legal contract. Straights can get married without any religious ceremony. So how can gays be denied equality under the law?

  • I mean I believe that God wanted gays, in terms of the people, just not the homosexuality. And I already said I don't believe He hates gays, He hates no one. I mean perhaps we have misunderstood it, but I am still going by the Bible regardless.

And I just believe in the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman. I wouldn't go vote against gay marriage though, because honestly I don't care that much.

  • That's all I can really hope for... people who abstain from the gay equality movement because they don't understand. That's good; wouldn't want to look back and realize you were on the wrong side.

As for the sancity of marriage... why aren't Christians flipping out so much about straight politicians cheating on their wives and having children out-of-wedlock with their mistresses?

Pardon me while I choke on the hypocrisy of the Christian Right.

  • Yeah, I mean I've thought about the whole gay marriage thing a lot and I don't have a FIRM position on it and I don't want to just go into a booth and click something.

And yeah I TOTALLY agree! Just like earlier when I was saying how can we treat gays so badly, yet barely even confront those who are "hoes". ( Sorry I don't know a better term b/c I feel promiscuous doesn't cover it)

And yeah I don't agree with a lot of the things publicized Christians do.

  • Well, I'm actually for legalization of prostitution, too. Why? Because women and men are going to engage in prostitution, whether its legal or not.

The only difference is how much victimization of women occurs. With their profession being illegal, they have no rights and no defense against abuse, rape, murder, disease.... hence pimps and their hos.

But, legalize it... and women are allowed ownership of their bodies and their rights. No longer do asshole pimps get to control their lives.

  • Whoa, u caught me off guard when I first read that.

But OMG u r SOOOO right! I watched this documentary awhile back that talked about teen girls who had been forced into prostitution and they showed a 15 year old girl that got arrested for prostitution and the fuckin pimp didn't even get a citation!! UGH, I was SO ANGRY!!!

That's crazy, they never say that side of it.

  • That's the whole thing... gays make you uncomfortable and weirded-out. But why? Because you've been told your whole life that they're evil sinners who are going to burn forever.

Your 'ickiness' feeling against gays is similiar to whites from the 60's feeling that it was "gross" and "wrong" for blacks and whites to marry.

To this day, there are people in my family who feel they aren't racist, but feel that blacks and whites still shouldn't marry as "we should stick to our own."

  • I haven't been told that actually. I have heard that they're going to hell, but I don't necessarily believe that. And that's not why I feel that way. It just screws with my perception of how a man should act. Not according to the Bible, but just my own views. How can a man be the head of his household, if he acts like a weak little woman? (By the way I'd believe the man should be the head, even without the Bible). And I understand that not ALL gay men act that way.

  • And yeah you're so right about that. Honestly I am working on that, I'm going to be a Youth Pastor and I wouldn't want to treat a gay youth differently from a a straight one.

  • Then stop thinking that a gay is different than a straight.

Gays have love and relationship problems just like straights... they have self-esteem issues, desire to be accepted, need to belong...

I mean, come on... we know gays have been attacked for just being gay, so why would someone wake up one day and say "My teenage life isn't hard enough... let's go ahead and be gay so I'll be alienated by people who don't even know my name!"

  • Yeah, I told you I'm working on not being judgmental. It's not going to happen overnight.

    I know they do.

I don't think they just wake up one morning and decide that just like we can't decide who we have a crush on, it just kinda... Happens.

  • Maybe it's because I've been different my whole life and been messed with by the 'normal' people, but I've always been against any kind of inequality or prejudice.

For me, it's like... what the hell did they do to deserve being treated differently? Be it women, blacks, or gays... I've known many that are smarter than I, more caring than I, etc.... but, I've also known douches, too. More white male douches than others, I'd say.

Not liking them without even knowing them is just lame in 2009.

  • Yeah and that's good! My major in college now is Social Work and they tell us all the time that in order for us to effectively work with people we are going to have to get past our biases and I am working on that.

And yeah, way more white male douches, lol.

For me it's not necessarily that I don't like them as people, just their lifestyle choice. But I would be the same way about a drunk or a hoe. Just choose not to be around them.

  • I partied at many gay bars while I was in the Navy in Virginia. In reality, they were the only clubs you could go to where there weren't a bunch of young miltary men treating women like sex objects... just pieces of meat.

The gay bar was where people could have some drinks, relax, and dance the night away. No fights, no drama, no small-dick men trying to play Mr. Macho.

Gays are the most respectful, accepting people I know and that's a bad lifestyle? Haha... some things are so silly.

  • LOL, small-dick men! HA!

See them being respectful and accepting is them as people. That's not what I am talking about. I just don't agree with them sleeping with their same sex. Just like I don't make friends with hoes.

  • That's what I don't get... why don't you agree with them sleeping with their same sex? Is there any reason other than it just grosses you out?

It would be a sad, boring world if we banned anything and everything that grossed someone out. :)

I love the double-standards in our world... where a man is congratulated for laying as many women as possible, yet a woman is a whore if she isn't a virgin until marriage. Men are intimidated by independent, sexually-liberated women.

  • Like I keep saying, people who hoe around gross me out too. NOT JUST GAYS.

    Lol, that's true.

Psh, I don't congratulate em! But I hate that though! How fathers protect their daughters so much, yet tell their sons to "become men". DAMN IT don't they fuckin realize that it's someone's damn daughter helping their sons become men? If they tell their sons to go sleep around then they might as well tell their daughters to go help boys train to become men.

  • Exactly... I'm very much a supporter of women's equality. Hence, I don't have a double-standard when it comes to sex. I've always been confident in who I am and have not felt the need to be jealous or possessive.

That said, I've always had an open mind to sexuality... and I can only imagine those two things are connected. The fact that my wife had a sex life before me is part of who she is. I wouldn't change anything in our pasts because you never know what may have us not ending up together.

  • Thanks for the talk. I've gotta jet. Have a good one.

  • What is your race and sex if you don't mind my asking?

I'm an African-American female, in case you care...

  • White male... don't hold it against me... hahaha...

  • hahaha!!! Okay!

  • You can have a preference of having a male be the head of household, but that isn't true for all people.

That's the problem... one group of people living life one way and then using their power to dictate that others must live life the same way as them. Remember this little thing called Alcohol Prohibition? A bunch of uptight, old white women felt that they could 'fix' America by banning the booze.

Same thing with modern Marijuana Prohibition. They pretend its for our safety, but it's not.

  • I know, it's not true for all people.

Lol, uptight, old white women. But yeah that's true, but I still think the man should be the head. Not necessarily the head as in controlling the hosuehold, but when a decision cannot be agreed upon, I feel he should have the final word. But like you said, that's just my opinion that I fostered being that my daddy was not around. I wish they'd lower the drinking age to 20, lol.

And yeah, isn't it actually good for a lot of illnesses?

  • The whole 21 drinking age... MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) got the Federal Government in the 70's to force states to change the drinking age from 18 to 21. States rights cover alcohol laws, so the Feds had to make them do the change.

So, how did the Fed persuade 50 state governments to change their drinking age? They withheld highway money... money collected from the states, owed to the states, but the Fed just kept the cash until the states complied. Strong-armed bullying.

  • Oh yeah! It did used to be 18!! What I don't get is if I'm 18 and mature enough to decide the leader of the country then how the hell am I not old enough to know how to drink responsibly??? STUPID!

Wow, I did not know that! INSANE! Man you're teaching me A LOT! LOL

  • I joined the Navy at 17 1/2... mom had to sign a waiver for me to join underage. 3 1/2 years later, I was legally old enough to drink -- in America. That's right... I traveled overseas at the age of 20 and was allowed to drink in foreign countries because they didn't have a 21 drinking age.

Serving in the US Navy, I had more freedoms in foreign nations then in my own home country, the one I fought for. If you're old enough to die for this country, then you're old enough for a damn beer.

  • I KNOW!!!!!! Man u r SO right! I mean there are 40 yr old people who use alcohol irresponsibly! Yet since their 40, they're mature? I guess America!

  • There's your lack of understanding true, mature gay relationships. A femine gay male will end up with a masculine gay male -- you'll still end up with one dominant individual and one submissive individual. This is traditionally just male and female, but even today, we can all agree that those roles are reversed: with some women being the dominant ones and the men being submissive.

Everyone is different and that's the beauty of America: the melting pot is our strength.

  • Yeah, I know that opposites attract in relationships, but I just see men as being strong, not saying that by them being feminine that women aren't strong. And yes I know they are reversed, but I want me a strong husband, not a domineering one though.

Yeah because it would be boring if we were all the same.

  • Exactly... my wife and I have a very equal relationship. We are both strong and stand up to each other when we step out of line. We strive to arrive at what the right answer is, regardless of whether its her or I that came up with the answer to begin with.

Remember, less than a hundred years ago, a woman's opnion was considered nothing, hence no voting rights. Women haven't become magically smarter since then... its just they've finally been given a chance to prove themselves. Why can't gays?

  • Yeah equal is good too, I just believe that in an instance when an agreement cannot be reached, then the man should settle it. Not rudely, of course.

I'm sure they will eventually. Just like women and blacks did.

  • (Part 2, I ran out of space, lol) That's just evil to try and scare someone into getting saved or "delivered". And I really like discussing this with you by the way b/c you're making me actually think about what I believe. So thanks.

  • Thank you for the exchange of ideas...

Here's my problem: you are assuming what His Words are. Truthfully, your belief that gays aren't born that way isn't based upon actual facts or evidence... but solely based upon a pre-conceived interpertation of the Bible and reality as defined by Christians.

We can argue all day whether someone is born gay or not... but I'd rather just go by what gays themselves say, from my real world experience knowing gays, and from science that has tested gays.

  • I mean honestly, I struggled with it for awhile, but I don't believe I was BORN that way. It just kind of... Creeped up on me I guess you could say.

What? Science has TESTED gays? I never heard of that! Sounds interesting, care to elaborate? Oh and do you have AIM or Yahoo? This is getting rather lengthy.

  • There have been many tests concerning gays... for example, "The fraternal birth order effect is the name given to the observation that the more older brothers a man has, the greater the probability is that he will have a homosexual orientation. The fraternal birth order effect is the strongest known predictor of sexual orientation, with each older brother increasing a man's odds of being gay by approximately 33%." (wikipedia summary)

  • Oh wow, that's interesting! But couldn't that be because he's around a bunch of men all the time? Not because he was born that way? Just like boys who have a lot of sisters tend to grow up gay too?

  • That's the whole point of science... to answer the questions you just posed. And, they checked that out. It wasn't because they were raised together... they think it has to do with the mother's resistance to testosterone getting stronger with each successive male pregnancy.

Yhey found *no* simiiiar correlation for lesbians. It seemed to make no difference the number of sisters on the odds of being a lesbian.

  • Oh WOW, that's interesting! Soooo... If they gave her testosterone injections once they knew it was a boy... Could that possibly reverse it? Not like 'cure the gay", but you know what I mean.

And that's probably because since the mother is a woman, she already has plenty of estrogen.

  • But would that mean that boys are born gay, but girls aren't???

  • Having known many lesbians that say they were born gay, I would say no... the mechanism for lesbians is different, and that's all science has figured out so far.

And that's the beauty... while scientists get down and dirty researching the real world, religious leaders made up their mind before any research and don't bother to keep their mind open. After all, the Bible hasn't changed in 2,000 years so why should their opnion? That's the fallacy of religion, and the salvation of science.

  • Oh ok...

Yep, that is true! Like what I was saying earlier about being open-minded! I actually do try to think things through though...

  • Yes, as taboo as it is to talk about... technically, there may be a 'cure' for gay.

Scientists did testing of mice with testosterone injections during pregnancy, and also shortly after birth (two key development periods). And yes, they found that testerosterone injections would typically make the male mice act male. Inhibiting the testeosterone would have the male mice act female.

But, like I said, I don't know how this holds true for lesbians. Scary stuff, though.

  • So say this holds to be true, I still don't think that ALL boys are born gay. I have a friend who is struggling with homosexuality, but he just has his mom and an older sister. So it wouldn't be true for every instance. And I have heard of brain washes which are kind of what you're talking about now that I think about it. How much testosterone you get.

And yeah it is scary stuff!

  • My little brother came out of the closet when he was 16... living with my sister and her family at the time in Pittsburgh. She picked him up from school one day and just kept driving, right past the house. She called my mom (living in Texas) and said "Meet me in Tennessee to get your gay son."

She's apologized since.... but that's how cruel family can be because of religion. So, these men don't struggle with being gay... they struggle with not being straight.

  • Oh wow, that's mean!!

I hate it when "Christians" are so hateful.

  • @IaoGawd Man, that's fucked up. My mother is christian, but she'd never sink that low.

  • You're just proving the point that there are a lot of good, moral people out there that never do any of the crazy shit other Christians do... but, sadly, all that crazy shit has justification and righteousness from the Bible.

So, how are we to judge followers of the Bible? On one hand, good-natured people pick up on the "Love yourself and your neighbor as yourself" that Jesus preached, but then others pick up on the killing gays, slavery, and depriving women's equality. It's all in there.

  • I love how atheists like her husband think God doesn't completely rule their lives and yet his job is to preach about what he DOESN'T believe in.

    Really?

That's like me making my profession about preaching that Santa Claus doesn't exist, which should be parallel since God is often made out to be a Christian's 'adult Santa Claus'.

Yeah, a God telling us we have to try and live our lives right and believe in his sacrifice or go to hell. A lot worse than getting coal in your stocking...

  • lol oh no....

  • HAHAHAHA need to know what ep this is some one please tell me!!!!

  • Which episode was this?

  • LOL I love the dramtic music.

  • I'm now picturing that fat gal screaming:

    "He's not a CHRISTIAN!!"

  • " we are not believers." dun dun DUNNN!

  • I never saw that show with infidelguy(Reginald), and his family.
