so here is my problem, im skinny, so i dont take up the whole seat, so when a girl gets on my bike, she always slides up, so i try to sit back as far as i can, which makes my arms strech out further, its really uncomfurtable and i get tired after even 20 or 30 mins of riding (ive gone all day from ohio to south carolina, then the next day to florida then back up to ohio, so its not normal for me to get tired of riding) any tips? or do i just have to fatten up haha
@pendemic09 that's a toughie... since the arms reaching the tank is only to prevent her from slamming into when you brake suddenly, where can she put her hands if they won't reach the tank? i'm hoping since she's too small to reach the tank, she's pretty light too? Could you be strong enough to have her weight not be an issue for you?
@inlineperformancemag lmao thats funny cause until i got the bike she had NO INTEREST in motorcycles and out the blue she text me one day and said she wants to her her license, a day after i let her get on the back and coast in the garage to park it
@shagy2k5 that's be a bit dangerous but maybe in the future. I personally don't use the straps. They aren't attached to the seat very well and may not support the force and weight of a passenger pulling on it.
Oh thankkkk you sooo much for this vdo.. I'm also a little short and tomorrow's going to be my first time riding bike with a friend and I was afraid of getting on to the bike (vertical challenge?) Thank you once again. it's so helpful and just what i needed. :D
Great video, I've got the same bike.. and in pearl white to boot :D anyways, THANK YOU !! i'll be taking my first passenger shortly so this helps huge!!!!
@inlineperformancemag Then why wear the jacket, boots and gloves? To show that your properly geared even without it moving or on the street? With jeans on, your not properly geared.
@inlineperformancemag No actually not at all. But by your explanation for proper gear, and for having random pieces of gear on in the video, neither of which were pants, this video fails
@inlineperformancemag OMG! Block this loser already... Jedi Ranger... 'snort!' Get a life! Can't please everyone like I always say. You are just way too nice to indulge trollers like this on YouTube!
...Sqeezing DOESN'T work for a 155 pound male passenger, as him and the rider, does a quarter mile IN 10 secs. OR SO !!! ...and my feat are strong, trust me, I'm a martial arts practitioner... SO, as I felt slipping away at the very last moment I grabbed the under side of the tank... if I hadn't, my uvex & streetfighter suit = doormat material... and me having a VERY bad day!! ...So, next time you give 'advices', TRY THEM OUT !!!! ...AT THEIR FULL EXTEND!!!! ...then give your precious advice...
@SethArmaddos I guess by you attempting them once, you are now the expert right? All the motorcycle training techniques have now been proven wrong by your attempt. congrats! Oh, and kathy is only about 115. Sorry we dont carry dudes, or chicks that weigh 155 on the back of our bikes...
There is nothing of friction for a passenger to "squeeze" with their legs, other than the driver. With 27 yrs of riding experience, I've seen passengers tossed off the back using this method too many times. I don't reccomend it. You may "distract" the driver by holding on to him/her, but, IMO, it's still the safest (and most secure) way.
Seriously? You think holding on to the tank is enough grip under accelleration? IMO the "distraction" of having my passenger pull on me during acceleration beats scraping them off the pavement after flipping off the back from having ZERO grip on a tank!
@inlineperformancemag Oh, yeah??!!! I DON'T THINK SO DUDES!! I was curious how it feels to be a passenger on my bike SO I asked one of my friends to ride whilst I was on the rear seat... WTF do you think happened? He did exactly what he shouldn't. HARD ACCELERATION & BRAKING!!! I'm 155 pounds, so I WAS HOLDING FOR DEAR LIFE!!! In 24h I had SORE ARMS & SHOULDERS for like 20 min of being a passenger. ...Oh, yeah!!... forgot: Squeezing is not manly BUT I TRIED IT... IT DOESN'T WORK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@woozybarnes Not many females who enjoy riding motorcycles(well sports/street bikes that is), well in my area(Pennsylvania). Would enjoy to have a girlfriend who would enjoy riding as passenger, hell, she being her own rider w/ her own motorcycle. But hell I agree with you woozy. lol
Love it!!!

Why doesnt anyone ever consider pants as proper gear? Jeans catch on the pavement and are no protection what so ever. Roadrash is fun.
AlextheJediRanger 1 year ago
@AlextheJediRanger Because the motorcycle isn't moving. Or on the street for that matter...

@AlextheJediRanger By your reasoning, we all should have been wearing helmets too then.

@AlextheJediRanger The point of the video was to show how to carry a passenger on a motorcycle. What does proper gear have to do with anything?

that DUC got some high ass back seat. Hanging on to the tank and not the waist, better take it easy on that acceleration.

you squeeze with your knees on acceleration, NOT hold on to the tank. You push the tank on braking.
