I think this is fun, but it hurts my back. It is a nice compliment to my daily workouts - my abs feel tighter, not necessarily stronger. I wouldn't expect much from merely doing this every day, although, any exercise is better than no exercise. I definitely don't look this good doing this though. =)

are you already athletic? because the more athletic i get the easier this workout seems. but no matter how many times i do it, i always feel my abs working. but remember you cant spot reduce but you can create muscles in specific places...

I have to say zumba is much better than core rhythms, the moves are more energising and fun, the music really gets you going on your feet.... beto and tanya are better instructors. This may only work your core whereas zumba works every part of your body...SO ZUMBA GETS MY VOTE!!!
Core Rhythms is the only work out that I found that kept me motivated right until the end, it's fun, it's easy to learn, it's uplifting and most definitely works. I lost 8 kg in 2 weeks, I worked out 2 hours a day, 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour before bed. About my diet, I didn't really have one, all I did was eat breakfast, whatever I chose and I ate between 3-5, and then after 6 I didn't eat anything. This is a joke, you better off just playing your own music and dancing around your room, the meal plan that this DVD came with is the real reason ppl lost so much weight, it is VERY strict it even limits fruits and veggies, I sent it right back cause on that diet anyone can lose weight..
You may want to check to see if your local library carries these DVDs or VHS exercise videos. You can rent them for free if you cannot afford to buy them :-)

Creepy background belly. You lose fat by burning more calories than you're taking in, however your exercise routine and diet work. Agreed that a mix of stretch/warm-up, weight training and cardio is best. If you're cramping, this is not a good thing, though a little 'burn' will be felt as you push those muscles. Start off slow, less exaggerated movements and less bounce in your steps and build up. Don't sabotage yourself and think you'll jump right into exercise if you're unfit.
I'm generally in pretty good shape but apparently my core is weaker than I thought! Once I start getting to the arms and stepping side part at 5:30 I start getting such crazy painful cramps. Other than that it's actually a lot of fun, I recommend it!
@UsakoChanDesu If you have cramps it's actually a sign of dehydration. You will need to drink a lot of water before, in between and after the workout.
To "watchmelosebellyfat" - You have to do some sort of weight training / resistance training first, then incorporate cardio with it. Building muscle helps burn fat faster. Check out the "Rock Your Body Workout" where she incorporates weight training and cardio in one workout and produces amazing results.
@watchmelosebellyfat - The best way to lose fat is to weight train / resistant train, and build muscle, then do cardio. The more muscle you have, the easier and faster you burn fat. And YES, this workout really does get your heart pumping and burn fat. But remember, what you eat and when you eat is as just important as exercise.
It probably does work, but there's no magic to it. If you do standing crunches (arch your back, then compress down to flex your abs) over and over, guess what? You'll strengthen them. You could just dance to music doing that move over and over to get results--you don't need a $50 (or however much it is) video set.
I have the core rhythms set, and I love it! so many work outs and Jaana is the best instructor ever! its just a matter of self discipline, as with any program. and if we wanna look like that, i believe this will work, with a strict diet. they are two of the world's top dancers.
