Anybody else notice how much this game is inspired by Blade Runner?

Yeah, Hideo Kojima cites Blade Runner as one of his many inspirations and makes numerous

homages to them. The main character Gillian Seed is a dead ringer for the protaganist of Blade

Runner.

You're right their are many tie-ins with characters between MG and Snatcher but the stories for these characters are very different and are set for their respective games. Hideo Kojima is well known for making references and cameos into his various games and I'm sure that if and when we see the next Snatcher game there will be many nods to the Mg universe as well.

No its not in the same universe as Metal gear, but since the games shared the same creator Hideo Kojima there are many references made to their respective games.

@1supermike1000 Made by the same people, wrote by the same person - professor Modmar also features in the MGS continuity as a top researched of cybernetics. And of course theres Metal Gear itself, which can see a very definite likeness to the MG MKII from MGS4.

Considering all that has happened, it is almost likely that this could be in the future for the MGS story.

@Ronack There are just so many references in MG games to Snatcher, tho. Madnar is in MG and at one point they say Big Boss was rebuilt by Madnar in the Snatcher Project.

Snatcher is something Kojima loves, and if the original Snatcher game isn't tied directly to MG I think they are eventually going to create a new mythos for Snatcher in the MG universe. Right now the Snatcher Project seems to be about creating cyborgs, but I could see that easily changing and evolving in a future MG game.

Kojima sure likes putting his protagonists through hell (Jonathan, Solid Snake and Big Boss have all lost people they hold dear to them and all have a VERY rough first day on the job).

Emulator have been good for years now. I played through Snatcher on the Gens emulator about five years ago, and it was flawless. Of course, nothing beats actually playing the game on a CRT TV with the proper controller. That would be the perfect old-school gaming experience.

I have a problem with the Snatcher game. When Gillian gets inside his Turbocycle to go to the Factory Ruins, the game freezes when it shows Gillian sittin down and waiting to get there. Anyone know how to fix this problem or how to get past it?
