  • Ah, now I remember why I don't watch mainstream news

  • why is everybody so hype about being a POW? Whille serving your counrty is a noble responsibility, being a POW just means you were bad at your job because you were captured...

  • Comment removed

  • As long as they're asking tough questions and holding our leaders accountable I'm fine with it If the politicians don't like it then they can find new careers.

  • I am a veteran but that doesn't mean I have the skills to run the most powerful nation. Simply soldiering is not the same as politics and geo politics.

Augustus Caesar was not a soldier like his father Julius Caesar but he led Rome to a golden age because he was a great politician.

  • it is more important to have a president who loves the country then one who is capable of using a computer

  • I ask for both, I ask for the best because only those worthy should be allowed to take the oath of office.

  • What does this ad have to do with people over 65? Bill's a dumbass. Grasping at straws once again. No wonder he was fired from CNN.

  • The American People have spoken, stop talking. This is old news.

  • This guy looks like such a prick...

  • Bill Burton dominating as always.

  • The interviewer is so insulting to people with disabilities, who can use computers just as well as anyone else. If Steven Hawking can use a computer just fine, and he can, then this POW injury argument is obviously complete Republican BS!

  • It said he doesn't know how to use a computer, not that he is physically unable

  • Bill Burton looks like the smart ass in school that got his ass beat every day! Owned then, owned now!

  • I think the Fox news lacky was desperate at the end throwing in the Minnesota poll which was completely out of the blue. You're indoctrinated. BTW Obama is currently ahead about 12 points in Minnesota.

  • It's funny, democrats seem to belittle and call names with a fervor. If the man can't use a computer he can't be president? Let's face the facts. Neither candidate is much of a choice. We've reached the day when no honest man wants to enter politics. No successful businessman would leave his seven or eight digit salary to enter a position which carries so much personal risk, so much responsibility, so much invasion of privacy, and with such a pay cut.

  • did it occur to you that computers have accessibility tools that wouldnt require you to use your hands to email or use a computer? did you know THAT? DUUUUUURRRRRRR. i have one arm and i can use speech to text to use a computer and send emails.

  • If McCain can use a pen he has the dexterity to use a pen.

Searh for "john mccain uses pen" in google images.

  • Sorry I meant if he can use a pen he can use a keyboard

  • ure stupid if u think that. the dexterity for writing and typing are different. its not that he cant type, he cant type for too long. also he has been writing for a long time, so he has learned how to writing longer, so his brain adapted to writing w/o too much pain, but typing is something that is difficult, since his muscle dexterity, have been slower and more painful because of his injuries. thats a fact. he cant raise his arms above his arms, cmon, it was a sleazy ad,obama shud be ashamed

  • You can use speech to text and a mouse then. No excuse. He's old and out of touch.

  • When are McCain and his sycophantic Republican toadies going to stop reaching for that tired old POW excuse for everything? McLame.

  • POW excuse? LMAO. How about you go get captured and tortured by the Viet Cong for 5 and a half years and see how well you type on a computer after that.

Look you may not agree with his policies, but making uneducated comments like that is just uncalled for. Issues aside, the ad was incredibly inappropriate.

  • Whenever the discussion is related to the presidency of The United States, McCain's POW status, while honorable, is wholly irrelevant and I don't think the Obama camp should have gone there. But it's nowhere near as bad as saying Obama wants to teach sex ed to kindergarten students.

  • wow, I can't tell who's more lame, John McCain or Fox news.

I've got a brother-in-law--a veteran--who has severe MS, and is wheelchair-bound. He can't move his legs, arms or hands, and yet, miraculously, he emails me regularly and surfs the net. Instead of reaching for the handiest excuse, he has overcome his disabilities and advises people on computer issues--he uses voice navigation.

  • And he was subjected to torture and capture by the Viet Cong?

    Juvenile.

  • Wait... what does McCain being captured and tortured have anything to do with McCain making use of accessibility tools for the disabled on a computer, like the above user's brother-in-law? I mean, even blind people can use computers in this day and age.

  • More Rape-publican lies. I am also disabled and use the computer and I know a lot of folks with even less mobility in their arms who do also. If you watch McCain you will see he doesn't have any problem holding a mike to tell his lies or pointing his finger at the crowd. For the Rape-publicans to pretend they give a damn about the disabled is a joke. Why then did he vote against increasing vet benefits and improving conditions in veterans hospitals. Poor John McCain.

  • And so you've been captured and tortured by the Viet Cong for 5 and a half years submitted to things that you probably can't imagine?

    Just wondering.

  • Bill Burton is one smug douchebag

  • First, the ad is dishonest. McCain has been one of the Senate's leading authorities on telecom and the Internet.

2000, Forbes magazine called him the "Senate's savviest technologist." That same year, Slate's Jacob Weisberg gushed that McCain was the most "cybersavvy" of all the presidential candidates that year, a crop that included none other than Al Gore. Being chairman of the Senate Commerce Com., Weisberg explained, "forced him to learn about the Internet early on dispite his disablity

  • ROFL!!! Minnesota tie with voters, I am originally from MN and it is the bluest state in the country, this tells me just how bad Obama will lose in November

  • Bill Hemmer are you kidding me? I am typing this right now as a wheelchair bound C4 quadriplegic who has way less mobility in my arms and no use of my hands and I can type pretty good with one knuckle.

  • "McCain is an inveterate devotee of email. His nightly ritual is to read his email together with his wife, Cindy. The injuries he incurred as a Vietnam POW make it painful for McCain to type. Instead, he dictates responses that his wife types on a laptop. "She's a whiz on the keyboard, and I'm so laborious," McCain admits." - Forbes Magazine, 2000

Yeah, I'm sure the McCain camp preempted this ad 8 YEARS in advance and lied about his injuries back in 2000...

  • Hawkings uses a computer

  • McCain also uses a computer.

  • McCain and his criminal supporters are trying to use the POW excuse again. They're trying to convince dumb conservatives that McCain is so fucked up that he can't even type! What a bunch of liars.
