wow see? --even in the middle east they act like a Jerry Springer show (negative drama)--we are All the same-- I must say I prefer the "fun loving" similarities much more!--oh yea...
Britishers made us fight and we fools fought with each other ...
They divided India...and we always abuse each other ...
Whatever happens is done by our politicians ...
but we blame on each other...
No one of us is coming ahead to save the country...but Indians and Pakistanis when talk with each other, they show that they r so much patriotic..!!!!!
Having multi-American roots I'm well aware of the low-brow American global attitude. That is, seeing the US through rose coloured glasses - some not even aware that the American Revolution was more to do with the slave trade than the tea tax... but what can the rest of the world say to silly little girls like thegirl44. All she knows is that the USA has TEN TIMES the military & she can say whatever she wants!. Unlike most US citizens she is not "TALKING SOFTLY" as per TR's W. African quote!
so what? Slavery is over and as a black man i'm still glad we got independence from england and and every other european imperialist regardless. We let by gones be by gones. Something whites outside america don't seem to realize. But then they just use slavery as an excuse to rip on america not really caring about us inferior colored people eh?
@thegirl44 Native may do alot of complaining, or keep a grudge. But there are no violent actions being done as shown here. One still goes to their casinos and they still shop on american sole
But you are fulfilling the cliche of a racist person. As in: "Oh, well, I have this friend who is black/Asian/etc so it's ok if I spout racist bullshit!"
I was responding to your assumption that there is harmony in America. That is laughably ignorant. You need to crawl out from that rock you've been living under all your life it seems.
I don't really know what you're referring to, but yes Canada and America are very similar. That doesn't really take away from anything I said, I'm sure. However, I would hazard to guess that Canada is not as bad as America, probably just as a result of population size and politics. People always make fun of Canadians for being "nice" and there is some truth to it in general...our politics are definitely more liberal and tolerant than America's.
@Hulagirl777 No if you look at there early history there is virtually no difference and while canada may be nice to others visiting canada i'm sure its a different story if you live there full time and ae not originally from canada. And at the end of the day america has a president who is of color. Where's canada's if its so tolerant?
Yes your president is biracial...and look what a shitstorm it caused! There are many liberal people in the US but that doesn't not mean there is no backwards, racist, sexist stuff going on there.
You can't measure how progressive a nation is based on the color of its president's skin. You have to look at how ALL the citizens of that country are treated.
You just prove that anybody can be racist, regardless of the color of their skin.
Plus there is the phenomenon of self-hatred. Hitler was part Jewish, did you know?
Also, just because you are Black/Native, does not mean you can speak for the experiences of all African or Native Americans in the US. Maybe you've lead a charmed life but it's pretty arrogant to think that means no one else has to face racism/discrimination.

With the US, a lot depends on where you live.
