should I wear a suit if the attire for the interview is specified as "business casual"? Would it be better to stick to their instruction or wear a suit there anyway?
it's damn bad that you think the guy who wear earings is crazy even tho it have nothing to do with professional skills you want to present to your boss/company..its' maybe someone who is just creative soul mind and have nothing in common with craziness
@zulusheksta1985 You're a fool. It's bad to wear earrings or any other radical jewelry because they come with bad social connotations; earrings relating to pirates for example. Also, if you walk into a job interview with 20 earrings in your ear, what do you think they will be looking at? Certainly not your resume. "People should be more open-minded", not every thinks like you. YOU should be more open-minded and have the common sense to not take such risks in a professional situation.
patterned shirts with a suit looks odd...especially with a patterned tie...brown shoes with that black suit looks bad....the orange tie makes him look like one of those nerdy boy scouts or eagle scouts.
Also I don't like brown shoes on that outfit. I would keep brown shoes and belt for a tan or olive suit, for example. For a plain navy or dark gray suit, the kind you take for an interview, I think it's advisable to wear black shoes and belt
The tie is to loud. If you are interviewing for a high executive position or for agressive sales that's perhaps fine. If you are searching for a regular corporative job I think that dark blue or burgundy ties don't overpower the interviewer but are still considered power ties. Also the all ensemble has way too much patterns. For an interview I would stick for only one element with a pattern, for example the tie, a good classic striped tie with no more than two, three colors. Keep it simple.
@adelinomalveiro I agree, Waaaaaay too loud. You never want to wear anything that screams when you interview. That color is just wrong and the shoes are also wrong.
You guys are dumbasses. First off, the white dudes suit has too much patterns! Second the white guys a douche bag! Third: your talking out of your ass! Foruth: Theres no such thing as a great orange tie! Fifth: Your reading of cue cards in the background! You should work on that. Sixth: Your suits are way too big. Perhaps you should invest in a tailor. Maybe you should cut back on these videos and invest in some GQ.
Overall though...nice camera and aww you guys match ...cute;)

I see where they were going, but the brown shoes and orange tie are a little much IMO. If anything, I'd go with burgundy shoes and a tie ina morecomplementary color.
Dark Purple / Black Tie, Black Shoes, Dark Solid Suit. That is my Taste.

His advice is completely out of line for an interview. Solid everything except for the tie and for the love of god wear black shoes.

does a suit jacket and pants always have to match?
rubberbandman 1 year ago
@rubberbandman yes, it is called a 'suit' as it comes in two-pieces. they are intended to be worn together.

i'd go one notch more conservative than this guy for an interview (no orange tie, no pinstripes).

over the top... wouldn't recommend pinstrips, the shirt, or the tie

terrible advice, and contradictory at best.
2:26- "keep it very muted" ?? Its a bright, orange patterned tie, with a patterned shirt and a patterned suit.
-What the hell is muted about any of that?

I personally dont like pairing up ta patterned tie with a patterned shirt. I recommend wearing a patterned tie with a white solid shirt.

I think a darker patterned tie would go with the suits they are showing bright colors are not a good idea.
