I don't have the 'share' option - my view is slightly different - any thoughts? I'm sure that Silverlight is up to date. Does anyone have any thoughts?
Just update to my notes now that I have had a chance to actually do it. there is a problem [not Deepak's problem, but MS] with persistency of the connections/credentials that renders it not very usable for mere mortals. Basically one cannot expect this to work as a fileshare - it would drive the user berserk . Will try Google instead.
drag this out for another 373 minutes why dont you? you spend 3 minutes talking COMPLETE SHIT before you say 'wouldnt it be great if you could map skydrive!' WTF....
Obviously Microsoft changed a thing or two, because this now works different! There is a tutorial on how to do it with the help of MS office: addictivetips DOUDD com [ / ] microsoft-office/map-local-drive-letter-to-live-skydrive-using-office-2010/
I'm giving it up. I've got windows 7 and tried it for about 10 times now, and he always tells me path cannot be found. May there be difference for users from germany?!
Nice tutorial, but: 1. it doesnt work with the .^ before the foldername, says path cannot be found. 2. Works without the .^ , but it is not possible to upload anything into that folder. Sometimes it says file is too big (even if it's only 160 kb) or siilar errors like "file can't be read on the target drive" and stuff like that. damn, i really need this to work..
I couldn't login using my ID & passwords when trying to map the drive. Do I have to link the Live ID to User Account?I'm XP user and I don't have Live Sign-in assistant
@DOTNSF1, please watch my other video which tells you how to link your Windows Live ID to your Windows User Account. Although the video is meant for Windows 7, it tells you the concept. Similar thing can be achieved in XP using the 'Manage Passwords' options of the User Account control panel applet.
