The big drummer (Dave) Got fired... so in replace they used their light person (tony)... and he ended up being so good to where they perminatly kept him in the band... So now Papa Roach has a brand new drummer.

That's close! Dave had to leave, and Tony was a fill-in they used from time-to time. He was in the band Unwritten Law. When Dave wasn't available they asked Tony to make the record and then he became a permanent member. He wasn't actively their lighting guy, but he DID run lights for them back at the Troubadour in the late 90's!
