  • Thanks a lot for your video uploads.

  • @onevaish , you are welcome!

  • Thanks!

  • @bailey14u2 , you are welcome!

  • I love your lessons by the way. How did you shrink your Quick Layout and Quick Styles buttons on the toolbar? Thanks.

  • @bailey14u2 , Restore the Window Down and it does that.

  • Very good tutorial. How can we save the styling and apply it to other charts?

  • Save As Template:

    1) Create chart

    2) Click Save As Template button in Chart ribbon.

  • @ExcelIsFun thanks a lot, I did it but when I apply it to another chart it also changes the axis info. The axis is supposed to go to 150000 but is limieted to what the template is. Is there anyway to just save the colors as design preset? I need to use unique customized colors on all type of charts.

  • I do not know how to do that. However, you might try:

  • Hi

Great Tutorials!. You are saying something about 3D Pie charts in the video . I didn't get it. Can you tell what is the difference you were saying between 2D and 3D Pie Charts?

  • NEVER use 3-d pie charts becasue they ALWAYS distort the size and thus percentages of each slice.

  • @ExcelIsFun

    Thanks

  • You are welcome!

  • Thanks again for the invaluable stuff. God bless you :)

  • I am glad that the videos help!

  • Ive been following your sections - thanks much! Quick Q -Is there a way to merge two separate excel files together. For example, I have 1 data file of 10,000 names, and another data file for 5k names. I want to make 1 file of 15k names without having to copy and paste it over to the next file. Any send to or import feature that I'm not finding? I see where I can get it from access but not excel. Much appreciated!

  • This video shows how to import from text, Access, Excel and web:

Highline Excel Class 23: Import Different Types of Data

But Copying and Pasting is much faster if it is from Excel to Excel.

  • All your sections are really cool .... thanx dear...

  • You are welcome!

  • thanks for the vid, but i have a question about more complex charts, like 3d surface charts.

i have a data set composed of 400 values along the first row, and 400 values down the first column forming a pseudo x-y axis. each value from each row and column is multiplied with eachother inorder to fill the space formed by the "axis" creating 160000 values, considered the z values.

i am trying to create a surface chart in excel 2007 but get "the maximum number of data series per chart is 255."

  • I do not know. The best place to ask Excel questions is the Mr Excel Message Board. If you go to the excelsifun channel, there are links to this amazing site.

  • this is awesome! your videos are helping me so much! thank you thank you thank you!

  • You are welcome, welcome, welcome!!!

  • Can I use these Basic series vids with Excel 2003, especially this one?

  • Dear DaBrit3 ,

Most of it you can use, but not the Charts part. The charting is totally different in Excel 2007.

If you go to my college web site and find my Busn 216 class, I have Excel videos for Excel 2003 and 2007.

  • Dear soulsaver04,

Count the rows in the first array and the columns in the second array and that is the size of the resultant table!

  • Bravo, keep up with the good job.

  • Dear Baobao531,

    OK, I will!
