  • Cool video mate, i have been having gall stone attacks for about 6 months now and been to hospital a couple of times as a result, getting an MRI this week and surgery to remove the gallbladder after that (asap).

Just actually had a stone pass into my intestine, funny how i was in agony about 10 minutes ago and now i feel like a million quid.

  • ah i'm 18 and i'll be having it out on march 14th and this video

made me so much more calm about the whole situation haha.

  • Just got home last night after having gall bladder surgery. This video made me laugh. It seemed when I was on the morphnie for pain right after the surgery, I felt worse & out of it that I fell asleep when my husband & daughter were visiting me. After a nap, I felt much better, started walking around, stopped the morphine & asked to go home! I couldn't stand another night "sleeping" in the hospital bed. Feel better now, just sore & it hurts when I cough.

  • i had a stone as thick as a thumb

  • I love your video~ I just had my gallbladder out on Tuesday this week! Feel great!

  • great crotch shot there dude......thanks for sharing

    X0D

  • Did anyone have any left shoulder blade pain as a symptom along with the attacks?

  • Comment removed

  • @SICILIAN5150 yeah i have RIGHT shoulder pain with it

  • @SICILIAN5150 yeahhh... i thought this is just the way i slept... Can you update on this? I still have my gallbladder going to get it removes in a few days.

  • I had min out a couple of months ago at da age of 13 nd it was horrible I thought I was going to die nd see after da op day tried to get ma out of da hospital bed nd I cryed ma eyes out I rocked bkwards nd forwards wit a ghost-like face. Nd I was told by ma doc dat gall bladder attacks r more sore den giving birth to a baby

  • The scars are about 1/2 inch long. I have had two laparoscopies.

  • I had mine out last week. My abs never hurt so bad in my life, but it will be SO worth it not having those attacks. They said that mine were all between the sizes of peas and a ping pong ball. I get to pick them up tomorrow (I work at the hospital)....I was told that one of them is pink...we'll see.

  • I had mine removed yesterday morning actually. And yes its just 4 tiny holes. Mine they say are stiched a bit on the insde under the skin which will dissolve, and on top they have basically just taped them closed with a dressing over top. So they should heal with scarring. My mother had this done as well 5 years ago and she doesn;t have any scarring either. So there is hope. And if the pain is there, I would say get that thing out, cause I had a couple of bad attackes and they hurt alot

  • yesterday, I found out I have gallstones!=0

I dont want to have my gall bladder out!!!

  • lol, it'll be ok, are they silent stones? or causing problems...

cuz i've had mine for 4-5 years and they havent caused problems until now...

  • well, they only cause problems when I consume caffeine or carbonated drinks.

my point is that I'm too young to have my gallb removed!

  • Anarion, I recently had my gallbladder removed. I had seven attacks and they made me miserable. I had mine removed laparoscopically, just five small incisions instead of a big scar. And no more attacks. But postoperatively, I am sore.

  • oh. Thanks. This was really informative. Now I have some good news for ItsJustJasmine.

but the docs. dont want to remove mine laparoscopically, they want to remove the whole thing!

  • They remove 'the whole thing' gallbladder, laparoscopically, there are a couple of small incisions for the instruments, and one for the camera, that would be the scar nearest the belly button. They use the camera and the instruments to locate and remove the gallbladder. Then they pull the gallbladder out through the belly-button incision.

If they can't do that for some reason, they do the open surgery with one large incision.

  • how many incisions would it be? I dont want to have that many. I am far too young to have that many scars, in addition to the ones I have already. Thanks for letting me know that!

  • Usually, four tiny incisions. And sometimes they just use a type of 'glue' for the skin layer. The incisions are so small once they're healed they can hardly be seen.

  • oh. So the incisions are small? Really? Like, how small, to be exact? ...sorry, I gotta know considering the fact that I may be eligible to have my gall bladder removed.

  • really they were about to take mine out in 6th grade...but now i am 10th grade and they are going,

it is pretty weird cuz mostly middle-aged/older people get them out not us young people!!!

  • so you're a 10th grader, eh?

    Wow.

yep, its either middle aged/old geezers.

I feel sorry for you. I mainly cant have mine taken out cuz I will add another scar to my body and I dont want to have a body of scars.

  • ya, i dont have much of a choice...the scars really suck but maybe it wont be bad :)

i have had a lot of attacks lately..

  • lol i no, i don't have a choice

  • check your profile...

  • Hope you are feeling better....not to scare you but the after math is a joke! Right after meals you have to quickly relleve yourself. I had the surgery in 2002 and I still have the days where I am afraid to eat out. It does get better though. Anyway nothing hurts like the damn attacks:-)

  • this is my 3rd attack... I didnt know i had gallstones until i went to the E.R. room yesterday. The only thing is that im 4 months pregnant with twins so i just have to wait it out.

  • I'm going to see my doctor on tuesday. I need surgery too. I have my gallbladder fill with stones. I already had two attacks. It's very painful!

  • same, it sucks..

  • Love the shorts when you're being wheeled out of the hospital... I wish I would've thought to bring a camera when I had mine out last week. Oh well, maybe I'll think of it the next time I go in to have holes poked in me..lol

  • I am still waiting for my scan , told it can take 6 weeks just for the scan

    its so painfull

    hope you are feeling better

  • I enjoyed that!!! I had mine out on the 27th of August, and I'm still recovering. X_X But, definitely good to see someone else go through what I've been through. :)

  • Great video, u make it look fun LoL well I might need to get my Gallbladder out not because of gallstones but because it's not working right I get my HIDA scan Tuesday so we will see, truth is i'm really scared about it
