  • i guess a lot of you dumb asses will be left behind wondering why no one told you. well the message is right in front of your face its up to you weather or not u hear it

  • yeah im really sure that Tool spends hours a pone hours going through mathematical equations to make there music just so than can see if they can get ppl to follow some ridiculous mystic message embedded deep in there lyrics. no one would spend as much time as they do creating such master pieces just to see if they could get sheep to follow . It is said that a messenger will come to the people in a way that most people will shun and it will only be heard by the chosen.

  • TOOLS MUSIC I BELIEVE HAS A MEANING AND AT THE SAME TIME IT DOESN'T....I THINK IT'S WHAT HE'S SAYING....YOU MAKE THINGS THE WAY YOU WANT THEM TO BE...YOU ARE ETERNAL, AND ALL PAIN IS AN ILLUSION...WE ALL CHOOSE; AND BY CHOOSING YOU LEARN AND YOU RIDE THE SPIRAL OF LIFE...ONE PERSON I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A LONG TALK WITH WOULD BE THE MEMBERS OF TOOL; ESPECIALLY MAYNARD....I BELIEVE I WOULD BE ENLIGHTENED. IT WOULD BE INTRIGUING.

  • If Maynard read any of these comments, he'd be laughing his head off.

    And that includes THIS comment.

  • enlighten us Mr. Maynard, with ways that the world has gone so wrong and guide us on the path of the righteous and true meaning of the worlds beyond our imagination..... for Mr Maynard is god

  • The joke !

  • Dangerouschad how old are you? Where are you from? Limp Bizkit never gave anyone thumbs up for anyone to like Tool!!!! A joke band??? Are you kidding me??!!! Limp Bizkit sucks! Korn made Limp Dick I mean Bizkit who they are. Tool came out in the early 1990's! Way before Korn! Tool is amazing. There music is way beyond so many other bands. Their lyrics are beyond your understanding obviously since you call them a joke band. It is obvious to me that you are young Dangerouschad , young and you are

  • I never know whether to take any of this stuff seriously or not -- most of it I don't, this I don't. But it doesn't even matter; if it sounds good, great! Otherwise, no thanks.

  • I think I'd be more intrigued by this video if the tenses were used properly, words were spelled correctly (like Lateralus) and sentences flowed better.

  • In the midst of finally listening to Lateralus in your order. Pretty cool!

  • gotta love Koyaanisqatsi footage

  • beautiful

    simply

    beautiful

    namaste <3

  • Shhh!

  • This is paganism 101. Spirals, chakras, Quantum or string theory, etc. That 's what appealed to me most when I first heard Tool, This is like church music for pagans! :)

  • KUNDALINI AT THE END, RISING UP THRU THE BODY ,WAKING ALL THE CHAKRAS.

  • that's the spot

  • W's getting mail still at my house

  • Disease

  • Mantra is just MJK squeezing his cat.

  • This even sounds amazing backwards...

  • tool never says the meaning of their song , we all can have our own interpretations . no one is wrong. every person is right .i really love this band .

    Thank You tool.YOU inspire me.

    i feel the rhythm.

  • I totally think there is something here and that Tool would do this to fuck with people/ help them see hidden/non popular information/beliefs 24 8 9 1 4 63 3, lol, I'm just kidding thats tonights power ball

  • Yeah, we all did this as "childs".

  • @Xelastic

    @Xelastic

NO I LIED! It's An Acoustic Version Of The Opening To Inension! //Facedesk. Was Bugging Me All Night u_u.

  • @Xelastic

    it's eon blue apocalypse

  • Also, Tool represent straight line thinking. Left brain, analyzing. A Perfect Circle represent right brained thinking, emotional, feeling

  • If the top response were accurate the band would not advise reading books such as "Ancient Secrets of the Flower of Life" by Drunvalo Melchizedek. This music was meant to be analyzed to be completely understood. I had always heard Tool's music when I was younger and it just sounded like good music. Never put much thought into it. I went on a Sacred Geometry binge =) and started studying Alex Grey. That lead me to Tool, and after understanding the music, the experience is like going to church.

  • @nikoaz

    what about Adam?

  • wow, ive learned two important facts: you must be high as shit to think this is something & you have too much spare time on your hands

  • of course they sync perfectly together, reflection, disposition and triad are all one song that was split into 3 tracks. "over thinking, over analysing separates the body from the mind"

stop trying to understand the music and just listen.

  • not buyin this one

  • I now MUST learn Disposition reversed, it sounds beast!

  • Lateralus is all about the fibonacci sequence and infinately expanding oneself outward to embrace what is unknown.......i think

  • Im sorry man I love tool but I cant listen to it backwards. I know some tools fans concider themself as brighter then the others, and I think Im one of them for me tool is much as musical as inteligent. As for me they've thought more of their music personality then say songs like bad romance and singel ladies, I respect all artist but too many are "mainstreem" EVERY artist is trying to do club music today. I mean they even sing "at the club" to make it more of a club song. Kinda pathetic imo

  • Some people over analyze Tools music far far far too much. There are interviews where Adam Jones gives examples such as the layering over of songs and saying they 'fit' which he ridicules. It's absolute rubbish. Some of Tools songs can overlay eachother, true, but none I have heard that sounded like they were remotely intentional.

  • @TheBiddleMan You say some people over-analyze Tool's music..."Over-thinking. Over-analyzing separates the body from the mind" :D

  • @legalizeit727 yeah...but you forget the next part ..."withering my intuition, leaving opportunities behind." just live the moment. live your mind. dont stop and dwell. theyre just 4 guys that are good at what they do. people will find anything in anything if they want to.

  • @rallycar171

i just uploaded a tool pre-10,000 days instrumental demo. its fuckin dope

  • @legalizeit727 There should be a mind body connection... to separate the body from the mind is death.

  • @legalizeit727

what the fuck is that authors name?

the flight crashes down and an air line attendant's hair gets scalped and bloodied, ripped right out of her head?

These are middle school books. I think I got into her series of books summer after fifth grade. And coincidentally she was a guest speaker at our school. I think she was on the reading list though, but I'm not positive I can't remember. The missing face on the milk carton was the most well known book. We were rude her as an

  • @atennnant01

audience at our school. The middle school. And the guy that was the author of Chicken soup for the teenage soul offended us with his guest appearance talk at our high school. Ms. Civ. spoke with him afterwards about it.

About white wedding gowns at your own weddings and that having not having virginity and to wear white is a an atrocious and shameful thing etc. etc.

The other lady scared me when she yelled at us for being rude and unappreciative of her time and her appearance

  • @atennnant01

Jaycee Duggard is the missing face on the milk carton.

    Actually.

  • @atennnant01

I found her in People's magazine. Not that far too long ago

  • @atennnant01

Mom told me to stop talking with psychopathic people on the internet- meaning John Hart. I wasn't talking psychopathic, I was the psychopathic talking with him why would she say that too? As if she had any idea what I would write, and him back. Most times she stooped her head over (if not all) it was looking at the screen at what I was typing when I was typing it to him.

Anyway, Kate's in that same issue too.

I saw at a market basket in NH in one of the tabloid magazines at the

  • @atennnant01

head of the checkout isle that she was pregnant with twins.

Already, and they just got married. Seriously. Did they even have sex yet?

It didn't look right either, she looked fragile or sick.

    Not good.

  • @atennnant01 you make my head ache xD

  • Over thinking, over analyzing separate the body from the mind. Obviously your mind and body have been separated.

  • oh and one more thing, Mantra is just the slowed down sound of Adam squeezing his cat...it has no meaning other than the fact they thought it sounded cool

  • Disposition and Reflection are one song in parts. same tempo, same time signature. this is honestly ruining the songs for me. the masters who made these songs put them in specific order. its like a story. not a puzzle where you can fuck it up...

  • plz understand that ur a fuckin retard...

  • Laterallus is abut developing yourself over and over that like the Fibonacci sequence...

  • Learn to spell... learn to spell.. ............... coincidence? lol. this videos retarded.

  • yes i'll leave the over-analyzing to you people, i have opportunities to meet. Im out.

  • @rbmaserang i'll seperate my body from my mind and leave all this earthly opportunities to you.

    enjoy your shallow illusion :)

  • double helix !

  • "][" {[]}{[]} ][_

  • over thinking...................maybe...a little

  • I think some tool fans take their o.c.d out on trying to fit everything together in there albums in music...you are over thinking and over analyzing to make this video..jus LET GO.

  • @TheTspirit I see what you did there.

  • I would have taken this video more seriously had your English been a little better...

  • ']|[' {[]} {[]} [|[_ !! Fucking brutal!

  • if you play 10,000 days along with wings for marie and viginti tres at the same time, theres a hidden track

  • Dude..you didnt even spell LATERALUS correct in yo video..step yo game up sucka

  • @jimmyskrunkvodka

Is that all you have to say about this video? what about how you spell YOUR? what does yo mean?

    practice what you preach Jimmy

  • In many of the greatest artistic pieces on the planet comes great coincidence.

Whether you believe in coincidence or some other sort of spiritual alignment or channeling, that's up to you.

  • @Doddus yeh, everyone creates their own meaning. just look at religion and their many sects. Songs are ambiguous for a reason, so that everyone can find their own meaning and relate to it in their own way. This is just reaching, songs backwards...Tool just have a very cool exploring kind of meditation music going on nothing more. Just rock out, simple.

  • Looking at the lyrics of Lateral-us and other songs....shows that the message is we shouldn't think too much, it separates ourselves (stuck into thinking too much and procrastinating) from our true selves (from feeling and acting on our intuition). Just throw yourself out there without any fear of what may happen, explore new things, don't close your mind, open it further, spiral out means let yourself feel more and more, get in touch with your inner voice, listen to it, act on it, seek clarity.

  • Their music and lyrics seem to always be about feeling for others, real spiritual growth. Their music especially is all feeling and flow of the music very dynamic.

The Grudge is all about letting go of the weight a grudge holds...let it go and be set free. Be free, then you will have genuine empathy for others, real growth...but keep going...be open minded...have faith and hope things will work out....

  • Learn about the Tao...very interesting really opened my mind up a bit more....

It seems all great philosophies taught about the concept of relative good and evil. They are mixed together in many different forms.

  • @SuperCrazyMetalHead TooL is perceived differently through everyone, your perspective towards their music is nothing more than your own opinion.

  • This is stupid.

  • @Cowtippy agreed, what the fuck is going on here?

  • it's freakin music!!!, just cuz tool is a "deep" band doesn't mean u have to alter things to analyze them. CRAP CRAP CRAP. quit doin dmt dude. lmao

  • This just proves to me that no-one gets Tool!

  • @dangerouschad nobody except that awesome mold

  • @dangerouschad except you

  • @gibby462 Nah not just me; mainly people like me who liked Tool long before Limp Bizkit gave them the thumbs up so it was ok for everyone else to like them too. Tool have always been; and probably always be, a joke band. They just make up loads of mystical bullshit so silly fan-boys can spend hours on the internet debating the deep meanings behind it all. Hilarious; that's why I love them! It's all about destroying your ego and not taking yourself seriously...

  • @dangerouschad thank you , i have so many bands that i love tool is one, that makes me understand life... Limp Bizkit suck ass and all the pussy ass bands .. tool is everything .. if people cant see that .. have fun with Limp Bizkit!!!

  • the over thinking over analyzing thing is supposed to relate to tools idea of lachrymology (or howevr u spell it), which is tools "religion". it basically states that the mor hardship u go thru the mor understanding and wise u r. i think, go to the toolshed faq to check...... i havnt lookd at it ina while

  • I think since it's on subject in a way, i would like to share with you my new website in the works. Designed to offer information.

    powerinchoice.webs.com

  • I believe you may be "over-thinking" and "over-analyzing" this... it doesn't sound like anything special to me. Maybe I'm just ignorant... >:-p

  • are you gonna do the thing where you play viginti tres and wings over marie over 10000 days? i did it its crazy

  • What is that opening credit song?

  • @17171717

    eon blue apocalypse

  • over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind, withering my intuition leaving opportunities behind! ok so over think things to see them "from a different angle, under a different light" but im pretty sure maynards not telling you to buy a pile of meth and ruin 2 beautiful pieces of work by smashing them together! it didnt fit it sounded like shit! so, " i have a suggestion to keep you all occupied!" watch this vid while reading my comment backwards i hope u die from it you sheep

  • @accretioncleansing wow you miss the message tool is trying to get out hardcore

  • @ProphetKirsch i understand the message im trying to see it from the point of view of these guys who made this video it might help me understand how the fuck they can justify changing someone elses art to show a hidden message or hidden song when there isnt... its completely uncool! even if it did sound good (which it dont) it would still be uncool man dont fuckin start preechin like u understand tool cuz this argument is only about this dumb ass video above!!!

  • @ProphetKirsch i understand the message im trying to see it from the point of view of these guys who made this video it might help me understand how the fuck they can justify changing someone elses art to show a hidden message or hidden song when there isnt... its completely uncool! even if it did sound good (which it dont) it would still be uncool man dont fuckin start preechin like u understand tool cuz this argument is only about this dumb ass video above!!! hardcore

  • I also don't see any coincidences in Maynard's work. This vid points out some interchangeable songs and "coincidences" that are dubbed "subliminal."If you understand the universe,it would be understood how he took it and made his music a "reflection" of the universe. All the songs are one, they can all communicate, there is no "one" song,it's all a song.Every album is united and planned to be that way.He is showing you the way,but you CHOOSE not to learn. It's depth is only understood when learned.

  • Maynard understands everything in the universe is connected, and in harmony. His quest in his life, seems to be a path of enlightenment through music. He has learned how the universe works, and implicated the complete circle into his music.Example, you're a tool fan, sing along, don't know what it means. In time, you eventually research and learn, then listen to tool again, and see the genius in it. It's "a perfect circle." Intend your own growth through repetition through subconscious levels. Genius.TOOL!

  • You all need to drop your "opinion." Opinion is nothing. Fact is what you should know. Belief is another nothing. Belief is a programmed opinion. How about informing yourself of the facts, and realizing just what Tool has accomplished. You're not meant to figure it out. You're meant to grow from it. Learn Quantum Mechanics/Physics, and research the consciousness of water. Open your third eye, learn how the universe is one. But learn the facts. Your identity's a mask. Learn the truth and u'll see

  • Kyuss is nothing comared to Tool...Tool is much more complicated by far...Kyuss sounded too unorganized...and i could literally follow the drummer...and i have never heard of Kyuss till just now..too predictable...and it all sounds the same. im listening to them now and its just so cluttered...im not even getting into it...these guys are lame...the only band you could possibly even compare Tool to...is Rush...best artists of all time and will be remembered long after Kyuss

  • Whoever made this video needs to learn how to either spell, or spell-check. That is all.

  • @TheChemicalE whover complains about a video needs to get some brains and just leave

  • Whoever made this video needs to learn how to either spell, or spell-check. That is all.

  • That sounds like something be playing backwards, I love it. So damn creepy yet I can't stop listening to it.

  • I don't there's any backmasking at work, but it still sounds awesome haha

  • ... can you imagine being alone in a room with Maynard?

Imagine that you strike up conversation, about something inane like the weather & all. Maybe current events.

You'd likely never know that, while you're waiting for your plane, or for your oil to be changed, or for your 10 minutes with your doctor.. the thoughts that are careening through the mind of your conversational counterpart, have you at a disadvantage that he would probably never let you be aware of.

    Tool. Brilliant. Always. Period.

  • @runthemachine dude it would be frigging crazy to be stuck in a room with him...i would kill to know his thought process

  • @ozglo1 its called paradiddles on drums its basically do exersices RLRLRR LRLRLL (hands) both are same sequences

  • when i think two parallel spirals i think DNA

  • @dicksofhazard77

not a bad interpretation. 46 and 2 is referring to chromosomes so dna is a common theme.

  • @dicksofhazard77 im only being a bollocks but dna is a double helix...

  • @dicksofhazard77 That's a helix. not a spiral.

  • @dicksofhazard77 Like that incredible book by Jeremy Narby?? "The Cosmic Serpent, DNA, and the Origins of Knowledge". no owrds to describe -ness of this book ;)

  • @dicksofhazard77 Thats because the mind will relate its thinking to the closet thing its got in its data banks if it doesnt have the correct data to revert back to... hence why you never know what you never know and you only begin the steps to enlightenment once you know that you dont know and the knowing doesnt come from books of over analizing scientists it comes from meditation and being intune with what you are much like lateralus teaches...

  • did you change any tempos when making this?

  • Amazing man.... Thanx for the data....

In 10,000 Days, there is also an Easter egg with tracks 3 and 11+4

  • if your interested in this shit...........look at the kabbalistic tree of life, the occult,

anything on the holographic nature of the universe, microcosm/macrocosm........theres shure to be pleanty of videos on this stuff on youtube. go hard.

  • @anaemiabag yes! you said Go hard when referring to tool. Awesome!

  • @cc219Hmd GO HARD :)

  • This proves that smoking grass DOES make u a vegetable

  • yes i remember when we were childs - adrian childs...

  • but the numbers are even more intriguing. Maynard is awesome

  • I am shocked that no one has mentioned the Buddhist & Kaballah philosophy here the ascending & descending is Kabbalah but the spiritual would be ascending & physical would be descending you have to first de evolved to be physical then evolve to be spiritual again. Balancing physical with spiritual is the middle path of the Buddha & embracing randomness could be Nirvana extinguishing the candle to embrace the void these philosophies parallel with quantum physics too

  • Narcissism is the personality trait of egotism, vanity, conceit, or simple selfishness. Applied to a social group, it is sometimes used to denote elitism or an indifference to the plight of others.

The name "narcissism" was coined by Freud after Narcissus who in Greek myth was a pathologically self-absorbed young man who fell in love with his own reflection in a pool. Freud believed that some narcissism is an essential part of all of us from birth.[1] Andrew P. Morrison claims ... find out!

  • time, alan watts, quantum mechanics, music, the power of thought, solipism

  • What happened to part three?

  • so....

    t ∞ l

  • Tool is a mystery that cannot be solved, but still we despirately try, ironic

  • i watched the video, after 1 year i ate an lsd blotter type maya and then i understood all of these things. Now that i see the vid i can feel what are the spirals...

we are lost in the artificial reality and dont know it

think about the first man on earth...how would he feel like??nobody to teach him all these...

  • this is the truth we are lost in universe and we dont realize anything

TAKE LSD AND SPIRAL OUT from here

  • this is gay u need to wake the fuck up and realize smoking crack and tool dont mix

  • this is just bullshit.

  • You can understand all this and more if you get baked and listen to Tool

  • from where do you know all this?

  • I don't hear any of what your saying is there.

  • Tool and meshuggah have no contemporary. If you get tool, then you MUST check out this band. These guys will get you to close your eyes while driving.

  • @Ignesium Meshuggah? No, there is a huge diffrence between Tool and Mushuggah, I looked them up, and they are more of a Death Metal/Black Metal band where as Tool is thier own breed all together.

  • @swarmie0208 You can stop anytime now. You have no clue what you're talking about. Death/black metal? Get out.

  • @Andragon90 raging noob. Meshuggah is definitely nothing like tool. Gtfo. Not quite as hard as Death/metal though. Just Heavy Metal I spose.

  • @Spyke4242 That wasn't me who typed that, you dumbass!

  • @Andragon90 Ahh sorry I didn't read enough of the previous comments. Read your comment out of context, and you can see how it's confusing.

  • @Spyke4242 Yea.. why the fuck did I call you a dumbass? :/ My bad. Beer on me?

  • @Andragon90 Its okay!

    I'm down xD

  • Music is just like everything else...open to interpretation. Basically, you can draw whatever interpretation you want to from something, everyone's mind is different, and everone could have a different view point!

  • What are the lyrics of this song backwards? I picked some up anyone got them listed?

  • @texasranger9 ...this whole thing was backwards crap lol

  • I think it's weird that the drums sound the same played forward or backwards :/

  • You're all idiots, buying into their marketing: hook, line and sinker. Musically they're average and their faux intellectualism is laughable. Won't take long before you outgrow them anyway, it's no secret, it's just that most of you are too easily impressed by minimalistic style and most of you don't have enough IQ to understand that marketing is what brought you to Tool's table.

  • @MalcolmTodd1966 You obviously failed music class, and know nothing about Tool's writing process.

  • @MalcolmTodd1966 I do agree that Tool's image among fans of surpassing every other band intellectually and musically is fanatical... But there's no need to be so derisive and insulting-IQ has nothing to do with music taste. Personally, I really enjoy their music, regardless of how musically talented the members are. Yes, the guitarist isn't a technical god, but some meticulous work has gone into the writing process - take a look a lateralus and how it reflects the Fibonacci Spiral thingy.

  • @Suckassloser Sorry to reply to my own reply, but ran out of space... I mean the IQ comment exactly reflects the kinda comment that Tool fans will often berate people who post a negative comment towards tool with, and that's all kinda ironic... My point being is, I think a lot of validity is lost to an arguement (or comment,) when you start trying to put yourself above everyone else by implying they're stupid.

  • @MalcolmTodd1966 I been listeningto toolfor 15years.Always loved their sound.Itsdifferent.As in NOT BORING.I've onlyjust caught on to their lyrical content.ithink its extremely focused creativity. They're not singing about the bong or somechicks chootchi or their satan complex.theyre singing about human emotion, themind, being.Becoming more than you are at this moment. How is that marketing? Its seems its anything BUT.Just my opinion. Not trying to be uppty. Can I ask what do you think is not average ?

  • @MalcolmTodd1966 what brought me to tool was the look in maynards eye when he stared me down from the little stage at lollapalooza '93. i didnt like em then... it took a couple of years... but that look, that intensity, that undefined "thing" hooked me, and 17 years later, im not a fanatic, but a respectful admirer of "will" in action.

  • Actually this sounds pretty cool. Don't know what to think of it, but I like the sound, lol.
