  • A five year study is being done on Vitamin D. When you tell them to take 2oooIU of Vit D, you should have mentioned that it is D3 (Vitamin D three) they should take.

  • What about fatty fish? Would eating sardines, herring, cod,etc. give you enough Vitamin D or do you not recommend it because the oceans are overfished or the fish are too contaminated?

  • From my knowledge is the fish oil is OMEGA-3 not Vitamin D. But OMEGA-3 is also GREAT! for you immune system also...

    comment on video:

    So, its 1,000 IU per minute in the sun?

    45 degree sun cone, is when the body will manufacture Vitamin D.

    IU=international units.

    Good stuff...

    Fatty fish will provide you with good quantities of Omega-3 essential fatty acids. When eating fish, be sure to eat lower on the food chain to avoid contaminants. You can also supplement with Omega-3s favoring EPA. Vitamin D is entirely different. The best form to supplement with is Vitamin D3 cholecalciferol as opposed to inferior D2 ergocalciferol. You can synthesize Vitamin D from exposure to sunlight, preferably for at least 15 minutes before 10AM or after 4PM.
