I suppose I understand how one could see "shooting over defenders" as a less aggressive form of offense (though Dirk has plenty of aggressive moments; they just aren't the "bread and butter" he's famous for). But that doesn't make his absurdly off-balance fadeaways weak or easy. He's simply found a style that made him uniquely advantageous, and it's that unconventional way he plays that makes him fun to watch. I wish more players were like Dirk in that regard.
