EVERY STYLE of fighting works it depends on the person and situation. but bruce lee saw that all fighting is fighting so why not combine it. moves in this style does work you just have to do them properly and effectivley of course in a fight its not gonna look as pretty, but nor does a punch or kick. its all in how you use it and how well you are as a fighter. Dont judge a style on looks alone.

The only thing I don't like about Capoeira is that some of the moves aren't as effective as they *could* be. Best example here is the Martelo. That front leg stays planted, but if you let it pivot around you would get a much higher speed and greater amount of force on impact than leaving it locked as in this demo.

i really like this style i love styles that have alot of movement to em

im only self trained but ive been workin on my ownstyle basically side kicks with boxing sorta basic kung fu wushu(looks alot like bruce lee's style except of course lesser extent of skill) i could really get into this people always talk like MT and styles like it are so much better than everything else but i just dont like the style not enough movement too stiff

many of them do not know the movements eg the armed haciedola that way is useless, therefore, the knees go together the way that makes it impossible to capoeira

several of the techniques are dangerous - queixada should NEVER turn back to your opponent, and this video mixes a lot of Angoleiro style moves with regional moves - there some some good techniques here, don't misunderstand, but I would worry that some joker is gonna see some of the bad techniques and wonder why someone broke his ribs for giving his back in a roda..
