@clarifaco Nah, It was the guy who pissed his pants in the equinox, or some dude who was so overwhelmed with joy, he started to shake and tried to click the like, but missed.
3 Piece BBS's: The best wheels ever made, i wish they wouldve never stop making them. I had a set for 10 years on 3 different cars and i only got rid of them because the cars got bigger and so did the wheels. Make them in 22's and ill buy a set as soon as they go on sell. This is one sweet ass M3.
@Sk8a1016 It is now. He swapped the original four cylinder S14B23 engine for a six cylinder S50B32.
I would never have done that. I understand that "nowadays" the S14 is lacking power, but come on ... its an "E30" M3. If you wanna do an engine swap, use a "regular E30" like Paul from Greece.
@Doggydoggg69 lacking a little grunt-keep teh original engine and drop an SR20 turbo set up good for 240kw at teh wheels and cheap. when you are done.sell it and replace it with the s14.M3 is not an M3 without its heart.
@Doggydoggg69 True keeping it stock may have retained more value to collectors. But obviously he wanted a drivers car not something collecting dust in a showroom or garage. That's the difference between collectors and tuner/drivers. Unless you're like Leno and can afford both.
@Doggydoggg69 Well I checked the first video you suggested and I don't understand the comparison. It's not as clean looking as the M3 shown. Besides if you can get a hold of a M3 wouldn't you rather have that chassis then an average E30 that everyone else has? It's not like an E30 M3 is a $100k collectors American Muscle car.
Very nice! BBS basket weaves were made for that car. Other rims on an E30 M3 just doesn't look right. I had an 89 M3 too. I'll bet having the extra horses isn't bad either.
Your all certainly entitled to your opinions and I appreciate the comments guys. This M3 was powered by a strong S14 for many years. But let me tell you, it's 1000 times more fun to drive on the street now. I can rev higher than I did with the S14 and I have more power and torque.
@Doggydoggg69 I disagree, I think if bmw would have had a 24 valve I6 in the 80s it would have been put in the m3. You are intitled to your opinion just as I am intitled to mine. Im not a purist so to me, anything goes as long as it is an improvement. Think of how many 911 purist got mad when the 911 switched to liquid cooled. Better technology is never a bad thing. Id like to say there is nothing wrong with the s14, I just think newer m/s 50/52/54 are better engines.
@DoggysStyle yes that is true The s38 is more closely retlated to the "big 6" than m/s 50,52,54 The s38 is like the 24 valve verion of an m30. Im not sure but something makes the think the s38 would be much heavier than the s14. It stands to reason the s14 was used for perfect weight distribution.
@donwonjon420 yea the s38 is very heavy. heavier than the m30 by about 20 lbs and the S50 by about 30 lbs.Thats not much more but it overhangs the axles more ontop of the weight. Honestly in the case of an original m3 if im going to upset the weight distribution i would rather plant the heavier s38 than a s50/52. In anycase the OP has a beautiful car.
@donwonjon420 bmw had several versions of the s38 to choose from if they wanted a 24v l6 .. bmw chose the s14 for it's ability to tune it for DTM ... i do share your opinion about the conversion though ... i would have chosen for a s52b32 instead ..:)
@Hybrid330i Because the s52 is not a ''real'' M engine, meaning i wouldn't have to feel so guilty about f*cking it up with a forced induction system . The s50 is superior in every way, but at the same time more expensive and delicate .
@MrSosa Its not really delicate. Few guys over here have them FI'd here in NZ with no issue on stock internals. Was looking at it myself at one stage but I decited to stay with NA. Come have a look on my channel if you like.
joey himself is a great driver. He just driving with new euro motor for first time so he is not used to 321hp motor. Right now, he probably used to it.

Beautifull car,
But you should not have taken the S14 powerplant with Alpha-N out of it,... whats the matter with you.
I understand that you would have about 100hp more now, but still, ...
Its just wrong !!
The E30 M3 should NEVER be engine-swapped.
