  • You are a life saver. I couldn't have done it without you. I sent you $20.00 thru paypal.

    Thanks.

  • @amanolios thank you so much for your generous donation. I really appreciate it so much. I never really expected anyone to donate that amount to me. Once again thank you so much for the donation.

    Your welcome,

    Scott

  • You've been a great help, I did watch the video, which is what prompted me to email you :-) I have to get this triangular screwdriver you mention, ordered already from Amazon, so hopefully that will get it open for me. Once I get inside, I'll be able to see what's going on int here! Many thanks for taking the time to respond!!

  • @sydorsc You are totally welcome on my response. I am sorry it took so long to get back to you. Keep me posted and let me know if you get the machine fixed or if there is anything else about the machine I can help you with. I am glad to help. :)

  • There seems to be a large piece of something rattling around in the one I just bought/received from someone on Ebay. The machine won't advance more than 2 or 3 needles before stopping, and if I hold it on it's side, it just rattles and you can definitely hear something moving. Also, I took a look at it after seeing your video and the numbers are not lined up as they would be with a 'new' machine, like the one I just bought. Should I take it apart and see what's going on inside? Thanks!

  • @sydorsc in my video I show you this green piece at the front of the machine. It comes out of the track (the box enclosure on the front) which could possibly be the piece rattling around and it could also be the cause of the machine to stop at one point or another. You are going to have to open the machine up and see what is going on. You should be able to fix it. Maybe the previous owner tried and thats why things are not lining up. Us my video as a guide. :)

  • Just curious.... if you weren't able to get a handle from them, how different is that machine from say the PRYM MAXI (which other than color differences looks like the same machine?) Perhaps you could contact that machine maker to order the handle? OR build another by jerry rigging the broken crank you have I suppose.

  • @karenleanneramel The machine is the same as the PRYM MAXI. I was not able to get a handle from NSI because they have discontinued the machine. I went ahead and threw it on ebay as a fixable or parts machine. You can use the handle from the SEW Easy knitting machine as I found out from someone in a group on yahoo. But anyway I sold the machine and hope that who bought it will find a use for it. :)

  • what happens if you do remove the phillips screws? I took them out and am having trouble getting them to screw in all the way

also my needles won't come up at the green half circle piece like they should.

  • @denisejojo I say in my video not to remove them. It makes it difficult to get everything just right. I suggest you look to make sure the needles are in the track. When you removed that piece it makes it very difficult to line everything up. The first machine I took apart I did the same thing but you can do it with a little patience.

  • You rock! Thank you so much for taking the time to post this video.

A shroud was catching on one of my needles and ruining my knitting down one entire row, as the yarn would repeatedly catch and bunch up. Learning how to take the machine apart allowed me to get inside and swap one sroud with another. Now, no more snags!

  • Help

I have somehow got another green needle!!! That doesn't seem right now does it. I used it another time and did['t have that extra needle. My machine wouldn't go around to make a full circle and I think it jammed somehow. Does this extra needle go inside of the working parts or does it somehow slide in beside the main green needle....... I really need to get this repaired !

    Thanks for your help

  • @rhubarb789 do you have pictures that I could see what you are talking about?

  • Thank you SO MUCH!

The little piece in the front had come off the track and I was trying every way in the world to get it back into the machine.

    You're a lifesaver! Great video.

  • I just got through servicing the machine that I bought on ebay. It wasn't spinning all the way around when I got it, but with your help I was able to get it working. I had to order that special screwdriver but now that it works, I can't wait to make something. Thanks so much for the tutorial.

  • @patscozim You are very much welcome. :) That's why I made the video to help people fix their machines. :)

  • Your tutorial allowed me to fix my machine. One of my hooks broke & I replaced it with a Singer brand kids circular knitter hooks. It worked! I also like your other how-to videos.

  • @Bageera63 I am glad that my video(s) are helping people with their machines. That is interesting you were able to use a needle from another companies machine. I wrote the company about getting a new handle to replace the one on this machine but they refuse to send me the part. They said its not a separate piece for them to be able to send it to me. So now I don't know what to do with this machine. I had 3 machines including this one. I sold one and was hoping to repair this one to sell it.

  • Thank you.

  • @Bageera63 you are welcome. :)

  • Thanks so much for the video!!!, I have a question .. i just starting to have a squeaking noise in my machine.. can i put wd40? do i have to open the machine to find out a problem?... i will apreciate your answer

  • @angelesesparza Well if you decide to oil the machine make sure it is a plastic friendly oil. I used Slick 50 one lube on my machine. I soaked some waste yarn and ran it through the machine a couple of times like I was making something. I might have went around about 20 times each. I then used a dry waste yarn and ran that through the machine. I have not had any problems since. I also feel that the machine is so much more looser feeling and way easier to crank. :)

  • @Zebraboy19 Thanks so much for your answer!... i did it and it work very good for me!.. now i am ready to keep knitting!
