not really the first but the second jump is what makes you think. i guess you really never get use to but you get a much better mental strength to cope with the sh.t that happens on a daily basis.
its not just about pushing your own limits. its a call.
i dont think id have the nerve to do it honestly, being that high in the air and then jumping out 0.0 i get scared by a skylift, if i went like that id probably pass out.
I did a tandem sky dive because im only 16. You go with another person, but its so fun. You can really go anywhere that offers it. But yea def give it a try. You wont regret it.
no there is no such feeling. when you hit terminal velocity (the fastest that you can fall depending on your body position) you are floating on a cushin of air. no zero gravity here.
well u can start skydiving sooner as 15 if your parents agree after seeing your gp. depends if your bones are fully developed.. reasonal would be 16..
Everyone is nervous their first jump. It's not human nature to do something that your brain thinks will kill you. I didn't get nervous my first jump until we got about 10,000 feet up. I jumped from 13,000 feet. It is really fun.
in that case; i had to send my rig back to sunpath for modifications as you saw the risers covers were going off in freefall... its been fine since then !!
thanks for commenting.. and yeah the risk of premature opening at that speed are quite consequent as the parachute is not made to be open at such dramatic speed.
i think 15 with your parents agreement. its even better if your parents are in the sports themselves but doesnt really matter. check with your local federation ! enjoy and blue skies
They still frown on it here in the US. Back when I used to jump the club safety officer would give a lot of grief to anyone who went anywhere near a cloud, citing the dangers of hidden aircraft aka "cumulo-aluminum".
i know the safety reasons that could be put forward for not doing this kind of jump but with only one plane in the air aka the pilatus.. not so big risk..
Not complaining. It's very nice. I went through a couple of small clouds myself back when I used to jump. We made sure we were well away from travelled routes (and strict DZ operators). The neatest thing is to see your shadow on the cloud with a rainbow halo around it.
I managed to punch through a cloud here in the States, but only when it was just a select few of us went to our local DZ -- those who'd keep their mouths shut. You aren't missing much.
omg that looks fun
