  • hakeem: "your welcome"

  • rondo's style

  • its stupid to compare these 2. two completely different positions. Kobe just mastering his post/close/mid game it looks from the master

  • What the f is he saying??

  • Hakeem > Kobe all time

  • @carlodiff In your dreams! Lol!

  • so Kobe decides to learn post moves from Hakeem rather than Scalabrine? what an idiot

  • 25 points, 10 boards, and 7 assists, 3 blocks, 1 steal...stat line for Olajuwon in game 7 of the 1994 NBA Finals. Houston defeated New York 90-84. Olajuwon didn't have another great player on that 1994 team (they got Drexler midway through 95). He just went out and took what was his.

  • great work ethic...but travel at 0:36 lol

  • Hakeem is such a nice guy. It's rare that a hall of famer teaches young players his moves.

  • Notice that all the best players; Lebron, Bryant, and Howard, have practiced with the Dream at one point or another. Dream 34 Forever! You make Islam proud, brother.

  • All u dumdy it call developing a better all-round game, I.e slowing down wen u get older (MJ)

  • If you pay attention to all the runs Kobe took doing the move, he perfected it the last time. In all the other trials except the last, kobe doesn't jab step as does the ball fake. In the last one he does. That's possibly the difference between throwing off the defender and getting trapped in the post.

  • Why does there always have to be some trash talking or arguments in any video Kobe is involved in.

  • when was this recorded?

  • Kobe's Voice "Your Welcome"

  • NBA “Where Dawah Happens”, Kobe Gets Lessons from Hakeem Olajuwon

    November 7, 2009

In an effort to take his game to the next level over the summer, Lakers guard Kobe Bryant solicited help from of one of the greatest players of all time — and personal favorite — Hakeem Olajuwon.

  • thumbs up if you didn't understand anything hakeem said

  • @dinocelikovic thats becuase he speaks badass and no one can understand

  • @dinocelikovic fuck off man but yeah i agree with u. LOL!!!!

  • @dinocelikovic OPEN UR EARS DUMMY. YOU'RE JUST FLAT OUT IGNORANT. JUST LISTEN

  • Nope! Hakeem is great and definitely one of the bests! I agree with that. However, just because he is a hall of famer. Doesnt make him AUTOMATICALLY better than Kobe. Kobe's one of the closest to Michael Jordan you'll get.

  • @mp3ifier read my lips... HAKEEM WILL KICK kobe's BUTT ALL DAY BABY! and stop with that kobe is the closest to MJ BS! MJ will fuck up hakeem but it aint the same when u talk about kobe vs OLAJUWON...

hakeem fucked up a prime SHAQ! what do u think he would do to a kobe?

    get out of here!

  • @wornoutshoes11

you kidding me? hakeem retired before shaq reached his prime. you cant compare a center to a shooting guard. one is a perimeter player while the other is a post up player. you dont know anything about basketbal

  • @wornoutshoes11 MJ has a losing record against Hakeem and David Robinson, as well. I believe those are the only players he had lifetime losing records against.

  • It's hard to compare players of different basketball eras, different positions, etc. I say they are both great players

  • im laughin that the 'kobe dunks over olajuwon' video is on the side bar of this one hahahahah

  • @naproxen0000 Hakeem sucked that's why in his career he only scored 26,046 Points (21.8 ppg) Rebounds 13,747 (11.1 rpg) Blocks 3,830 (3.1 bpg) playing against some of the best centers in NBA history Hakeem's first year in the NBA he was 22 imagine what his stats would be if he entered the NBA 3 or 4 years earlier?

  • Guess what? Lakers won the championship that (and the next) year. :D

"Watch out for him this year." - Hakeem Olajuwon

  • @cuic93 Guess what the Lakers got fucking destroyed by Dallas and they suck this season. Tuesday, May 10, 2011 Phil Jackson Resigns After Lakers get crushed and get Swept Out of the Playoffs 4 games to zero.

  • no video on lebron training with hakeem O.

  • Hakeem is a great player. This is why i rate kobe. When you have half as much talent as him, its easy to get complacent but yet he is still willing to learn.

  • I'm not a Kobe fan but you just got to love his work ethics. Dude knows his getting older and slower yet he learns how to post from the best (Hakeem) so he can still dominate the game. This is what separates a "Good" player from a "Great" player.

  • @jhaggy88 Couldn't have said it any better!

  • @jhaggy88 great players from great players

  • @jhaggy88 in his younger years, he always asked Jordan for pointers during games while he was guarding him too. I'd like to say it was never about money for Kobe.

  • @jhaggy88 now thats how you comment a video

  • hakeem > kobe

  • @tHeMaN998rocks

at the post but thats about it lol lol lol

  • @souljasai don't forget rebounding, shot blocking and defending in general.

  • @happynightz

yes idiot hes 7ft tall, what are you a dumb ass you think hakem had a grater overall career? lmao

  • @souljasai I didnt say he had a greater career. I said he was a better rebounder, defender, etc.

  • Idk what he said but it sounded like greatness.

  • good to see, the best perimeter scorer in ever get tips from the greatest post player ever

  • kobe doesn't play the Center position you fucking retard. LOLOLOLOLOL

  • it's not just basketball for kobe, it's basketball science

  • Rondo does that move every night.....

  • kobe spent 2 hours and learned all he needed to. lebron and howard are still taking lessons.

  • @goalmonds why do you think he trained jsut for 2 hours?

  • @jankobdd that's what was reported. i'd imagine there would be more news if they had multiple sessions. lebron had been training in private and the media still found out.

  • @goalmonds show me where they say he trained for 2 hours.. footwork isn't learned in a few hours. Sure hakeem could have shown the moves but to perfect them had to take weeks, months of repetition.

  • @jankobdd i didn't say he learned all his footwork in 2 hours. i'm saying he trained with hakeem for 2 hours and then didn't train with hakeem after that.

  • @goalmonds but he didn't, it isn't mentioned anywhere and it wouldn't make any sense. just admit you are pulling this information out of your ass

  • @jankobdd lol he didn't what... you're getting a little too offended over this

i can't post urls for some reason google these

"kobe putting olajuwons post moves to work"

"syrgu - kobe trains with hakeem"

"kobe passes hakeem for 8th all time espn"

like i said, if he had practiced more with hakeem one on one, the media would have most likely gotten a hold of it.

  • @jankobdd You should train for 2 hours and learn how to spell the word just. Hakeem was still playing in the NBA at a high level AT AGE THIRTY NINE! Kobe will be home knitting socks at age 39....LOL

  • @geocgeo kobe had injuries , and not hakeem was not palying at a high level , plus kobe already has more years than him becuase of him being drafted at age 17 SHUT THE HELL UP !!!

  • @superroc23 plus kobe already has more years than him?...

Go look up Hakeem's stats and let us know how many seasons he played you dummy.....Hakeem not playing at a high level?...ROFL

  • @geocgeo years doesn't equate to millage kobe been in more playofff games and i believe games period. when it's all set a done he will have more seasons then him , i believe he only needs one season. n his last 4 years he was averaging 7.1, 11.9,10.3 and 18.9 that's not hakeem we all know . now kobe last 4 seasons not ncluding this one is 25.3 , 27.0, 26.8 .28.3 .hakeem was okay but he wasn't the dream

  • @superroc23 set a done ?....ROFL

  • @superroc23 You're uh fuckin' idiot

  • kobe sucks. period. =)

  • @Jhorden12321 you suck...dick. Period =)

  • Main Hakeem doesn't age

  • 0:36 travel

  • @2fresh28 no travel... watch the left leg he is not getting it up from the ground he gets it up when he starts drible so no travel :)

  • @Industriality14 ahaha he actually does piick it up one tiime before he driibbles iit, but if you saw iit differently then thats cool :)

  • 0 dislikes, hell yeah.

  • now i can show my friend that kobe has been working with hakeem

  • ur on drugs probably or u hav never seen hakeem playin tha ball

  • haha hakeem is a beast, but of course Kobe is beaster

  • @MsFuckduck

    noo.....

  • @theuchiha12529 Yeah, stats and uh just Kobe's overall great, legendary game speaks for itself

  • @MsFuckduck but still no better than MJ

  • @MsFuckduck

LOLLOLOLOLOL. Hakeem would eat Kobe just like how he ate David Robinson.

  • @GarchompNation If Kobe played center.. . O_O

  • @GarchompNation Kobe would win. No contest.

  • @nitotech

    AHAHA

    God you are pathetic.

  • @GarchompNation Do you not know the positions they play.

  • @glocsta707

Of course, Hakeem "The Dream" plays Center but I dare say his skill set allows him to play 4. Kobe "Black Mamba" plays Shooting Guard but has been known to occasionally move to the 3.

    Get money get paid.

  • @GarchompNation sure..in the post

  • @jonnyrisas

Just that comment on your own makes it OBVIOUS you don't understand basketball, Hakeem is one of the greats, take your Media Hyped Kobe and fuck off.

  • @GarchompNation hahah...media hyped...are talking about kobe or lebron...im sorry but kobe has earned evertything, championships through hard work....scoring 81 isn't a fluke...you may not like kobe...obviously...but you need to face reality and stop hating on an incredible player

  • @jonnyrisas

I don't hate Kobe, he is a top 20 player in the world HOWEVER. To state Kobe is BETTER than Hakeem, then you REALLY don't know basketball. I would take Jordan 69 over the 85 Celtic Dynasty team led by Bird (Google him up you obviously don't know basketball.) I would also take Hakeem's Quad Double over 81 against the team with the WORST defence. Jordan/ Hakeem in today's era without hand checking and the 3 Second rule would dominate. He would slice the defence like butter.

  • @GarchompNation wait...did i state kobe was a better player? i don't think i did....but you give the ball to kobe at the 3pt line with hakeem guarding him, kobe eats him up everytime....hakeem with the ball against kobe in the post..schools kobe, thats all i was saying... thats why kobe knows he can learn something from him...hense these lessons

  • @GarchompNation this is stupid.....hakeem was a center ....kobe shooting guard...stupid learn your basketball first.

  • @yellowdaffadill

LOL you are a fucking idiot. Positions usually can not be compared unless one player is CLEARLY better than the other and in this case Hakeem is CLEARLY better than Kobe. Just like how you can say Jordan is better than Kwame Brown. Or! Oh wait Yellowdaffadil is Brown a center and Jordan a Shooting Guard? Oh you can't compare them then. No one knows who's better.

    Fucking idiot.

  • @GarchompNation Just wondering how is Hakeem Olajuwon clearly better then Kobe I mean I can understand almost any opinion but how is Olajuwon clearly better than Kobe one of the best winners in the NBA, scorers, and workers? Im not trying to hate I really am curious.

  • @lehavi5

Hakeem is one of the most dominant players ever, one of four to ever get a quad double. Yes, double figures in points, assist, rebounds and blocks in Hakeem's case. Hakeem was also less arrogant and his ego didn't define him like Kobe's does. Hakeem is the most skilled centre without a doubt this man's offensive arsenal was the most complete, hooks, fadeaways, dunks, lay ups, spins, post up. Also remember Kobe Bryant had the best centre Shaq for 3 rings.

  • @GarchompNation You make some good points but still you have to agree there both amazing in completely different ways so IMO it's hard to compare.

  • @lehavi5

Kobe is amazing, but Hakeem is better. Get this also Hakeem for five years averaged more than 2 steals per a game, that is more than what Deron Williams averages, more than what Lebron James averages, more than Kobe Bryant averages and just under what Rajon Rondo averages. Hakeem was such a smart player averaging 3.1 blocks his whole career and developing the greatest pump fake ever "The Dream shake." Apart from the skyhook Olujawon had everything offensively and defensively.

  • @lehavi5 Kobe got 3 rings when he was NOT THE man. Hakeem was ALWAYS THE MAN. In the entire history of basketball, only two players ever dominated both ends of the court - Hakeem Olajuwon and Jordan. There have been many who were all both great at offense and defense, but only those two DOMINATED both ends of the court.

  • @Justs99171 Whaaat I'm sorry but that makes no sense. If your talking about "being the man" in the sense of being the best player on the team then yes Hakeem was the best defender on his team but Jordan wasn't even the best defender in the his back court Pippen was! Kobe is a better defender than Jordan was without hand checking and don't misconstrue this as me saying Kobe is bette then MJ all I'm saying is MJ is not even close to what Kobe is defensively. Kobe has two being the man cont

  • @Justs99171 and I wouldn't be surprised if he war to get another before his playing days are done. Kobe would've been the star player his whole career to if he was 7 foot on a terrible team coming in.

  • @lehavi5 You're uh fuckin' IDIOT! The point is that Kobe got 3 rings piggie backing Shaq. Don't start talking rings when comparing Hakeem to Kobe. That's bullshit criteria.

  • @Justs99171 You brought it up and if your call averaging 22 28 and 26 during the three peat piggy backing you are the idiot. Besides that he has another two rings without Shaq like I said which matches Hakeems career two

  • @lehavi5 Hakeem's team coming in wasn't bad at all. Ralph Sampson and Hakeem were supposed to dominate the NBA together, and they had nice supporting role players as well. Beat the Lakers with a prime Johnson as well, but that team fell apart due to drug problems and a career ending injury to Sampson.

Stop trying to compare perimeter players with post players. Hop off Kobe's dick.

  • @lehavi5 Yeah, I call that piggy backing. Idiot! A lot of guys average 20 something points a game and DON'T get rings. Kobe would have been one of them had he not played with Shaq.

  • @Justs99171 That's ridiculous so what do you consider not piggy backing scoring over 40 points per game.

  • @lehavi5 No, it's not ridiculous. The fact is Kobe was interchangeable with a lot of players at that time. The offense revolved around Shaq; therefore it was pigging backing. You cannot credit Kobe with 3 rings the same way you can credit Hakeem with 2 or Jordan with 6 ... or Shaq with first three. That's all I am saying. You know ... 'piggy backing' is a little bit of exaggeration, but you should get the point. Actually, Hakeem had less help than any superstar in all of NBA history.

  • @Justs99171 I personally disagree with you that he wasn't exactly interchangeable. He averaged almost 13 points more than shaq in away playoff games and was crucial in the finals against sacramento in 02 who hit multiple clutch baskets. Averaging 30 points as a second-fiddle is not exactly interchangeable.

  • @jerjerjason You could have swapped Kobe with Vince Carter, Allen Iverson, T Mac ... maybe Eddie Jones, too. A large portion of Kobe's points were the ball being pounded into Shaq and then kicked out. I don't know why you wouldn't take that into consideration. The Offense did not revolve around Kobe. They were not running set plays for Kobe. They were not running set plays for anybody. They pounded it in, and then they kicked it out.

  • @Justs99171 I agree with above but accept your opinion which is all I expect from you.

  • @lehavi5 Whether you agree or not, Hakeem was definitely better than Kobe and the two are not comparable.

  • @Justs99171 C'mon man. Kobe averaged 1 less shot per game during that 3 peat run. In no way shape or form is that piggy backing. And during the last two championships it was being argued that the two best players in the league played in the Staples. Vince Carter, and Eddie Jones were not on Kobe's level after his rookie season. Iverson I'd concede was right there and T-Mac was coming on strong but Kobe was still better than both on both ends of the floor. That aside Hakeem IMO is top 7 easy.

  • @Justs99171 And yes Hakeem did more in two years with less talent than anyone. Of course those two years there was no MJ but it just shows that behind MJ Hakeem is right there. It also shows just how good those Bulls teams were.

  • @kingru77 MJ has a very lopsided life time losing record against Hakeem.

  • @Justs99171 That may be true I honestly don't know but what I do know is during that era the Bulls dominated. I doubt those Rockets teams would have beaten those Bulls teams.

  • @kingru77 During the Bulls first 3 peat, from 91 to 93, they had a 1-5 losing record against the Rockets. That Bulls team no doubt would have lost to that 94 Rockets team. Now the 96-98 Bulls teams ... that's totally different. I don't believe any team in history would have even took them 7 games. Maybe those 80s Lakers. Jordan had a lot more help than Hakeem. You could debate that Hakeem was as good as Jordan. You can't debate that Kobe was better than Hakeem. That is stupid.

  • @Justs99171 1 and 5 in the regular season. The playoffs are a totally different animal and nobody beat them during that time. Could the Rockets have beaten those Bulls teams in a 7 games series? Doubtful regardless of reg. season record but I get your point. As far as Kobe being better than Hakeem, I think it's stupid to compare them. Hakeem is the probably the best Center to play the game in terms of pure skill. Kobe on the other hand has been the best player in basketball since 1999-2000.

  • @kingru77 Pt.2 Basketball since probably 1998 has been pretty much a small mans league and Kobe has been the best player during that era and his 5 rings says so. That said if I were to put up my top 5 both players would be in it. Most likely at the 3. and 4. spot behind MJ and Magic.

  • @kingru77 The Bulls never played against a dominant center in the playoffs with the exception of Shaq in 95 and 96. Shaq was no where near the defender that Hakeem was. Ewing was a great defensive center, but certainly not as good as Hakeem and also didn't come close to matching the offensive production.

  • @Justs99171 Shaq, Ewing, Mourning. 3 Centers that will go down in as all-timers. The Bulls beat teams with good centers I don't why people say they didn't. Ewing had 11 All-Stars, Zo had 7 and Shaq 13. All played in the East during the Bulls run.

  • @GarchompNation Thats just an invalid argument. Brown = unsuccessful while Jordan = extremely successful. In Kobe and Hakeems case Kobe has had way more success so if anyone is clearly better its Kobe but they are completely different positions which makes this argument even more fucked

  • @lahockeyman88

Stupid argument, Charles Barkley, Elgin Baylor and John Stockton have never won a championship but Robert Horry has won around 7. Does that mean since Horry is more successful that he is a better player?

LOL No. Also Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon is without a doubt a better player, he is more dominant and more consistent and places team first. Most skilled centre without a doubt this man's offensive arsenal was the most complete, hooks, fadeaways, dunks, lay ups, spins, post up.

  • @GarchompNation The difference between Charles Barkley and Robert Horry is that Barkey has WAY more career accomplishments so obviously he is the better player despite not winning. When comparing two players who DO have a lot of accomplishments you don't necessarily pick one because of how many rings he has, but in Kobes case he has more accomplishments and more rings and is widely considered better my most with knowledge of the sport. Obviously Hakeem was more dominant he was a cenTRE.

  • @GarchompNation You realize Kobe doesnt play PF or Center right?

  • @Oldcartoons571

Obviously. You also know that Hakeem doesn't play Shooting Guard right?

  • 1:30

  • 130

  • Kobe's on top and still tryin to get higher!

  • @Ark7KEEF he rapes 16yrolds.
