It refers to a concept used in 3 feet high where their voices were suppossed to be transmitting from mars via microphone plugs. Pos is plug one, Trugoy plug two, and mase plug three. The nicknames just stuck after that.

Outkast is tight but they've got a bit more of a Pop vibe on their newer stuff...that being said de las new stuf is starting to sound more and more gansta..which is wack...but honestly...hip hop in the true sense of the term....

de la soul is number one with exception to KRS.
