cannot figure out how to pick these chords, I see the tab its one pick, I hear it, it sounds like its strummed. I see you picking it and cannot figure out whether its all thumb, some thumb and some finger or what

hi smeghead :D It's not strummed, and I use p,m,i & a classical finger-picking, that is, everything except the right pinky. The ring finger is usually for the main melody while plugging the whole chord with the other fingers (including thumb) at the same time.

not just the whole melody, index and middle are used for that as well, but some of the top notes (usually on first and second string).

Thank you, I knew Nyman was ahead of his time (well, in fact he borrows from baroque music and other classical genres a lot) what I didn't know was that he had to genetically modify his DNA in order to play that piece ;^) Check out the piano version I have on my favorites, that YT user pulls it off quite nicely without genetic engineering.

It's a great piano piece. I must say that this guitar transcription doesn't completely make justice to the original (it's a difficult task for guitar to compete with the piano octave range!)

It's a mystery to me why pieces from that tremendous album like "Tania", "Nocturne" or "Lifer", just to say a few, aren't covered on YouTube yet.
