I don't think that the sterilizer would do much in a situation like this. It will help some with free floating spored and the like but the algal bloom isn't water born, it is on the rocks. In any case, feeding less solved the issues :)
I don't feed it anything specifically. I feed the tank with a mix that my local club came up with that includes various particles sizes to feed corals and fish.
hay the tank looks good I have a 29 gal. and I will be putting a 10 gal sump and going with the same overflow so its good to see your tank and i hope mine will be just as cool!
cool vid. other then the blenny dieing and the algae things are looking pretty good.....after watching this vid im now thinking about re-arranging my rock. i like the way it looks its just im thinking about later on there's not much room for alot of corals and stuff the way i have it atm but we'll see
That is something to consider, although I am not sure it would help too much. After all, it can't really effect that which is currently growing, only the free floating spores.

Sorry to here about the Blenny. Maybe you should invest into a UV sterilizer for for the algae.

True, but after you clean up the tank the UV sterilizer could keep the algae from coming back.
