I wonder if your lovers` eyes glaze over when you speak. Its a good thing you're cute. I can't believe I just watched you talk about peeling bananas and applying it to perspective.I'm going to guess you weren't the smart kid in class, based on the obvious lack of common sense. If you were some random fat dude Id be on to the next sailing video.
The truth is when you eat a Bannana it makes you smile that is a fact proven by scientists try eating one they are very healthy because the sugar is all natural
there's never a handle left on my bananas after i peel them either :( and i peel my potatoes towards me so that i'll get cut :( lol .....how do you eat YOUR reese's? :P oh and for chili, instead of crackers i use Fritos..mmmmm
Interesting enough, my grandfather would peel his banana with a knife. Cutting on both sides and peeling one side; exposing the banana. This way the peel on the bottom would act like a cutting board.
I enjoyed this video Ponzi ! Yes ... We have to learn to respect people's different perspectives on things :) I have a problem with that sometimes . I peel from the handle down BTW ! But I will try it the other way ^_^ !

there he has lots of work on Paradigms.
its awesome to learn how to control your own perspective, so you may use different perspective to find new solutions to problems... and it is a beautiful experience that of paradigm change..

PS. i cut both ends of a banana and make one cut along one of the long corners. then slice the banana, that way you get banana chips and a wraper...
Hmm, it's like those HSBC banners you see at the airport. Ever seen those before you board (Cathay Pacific Airways, most likely), where:
One shows a woman and one shows a jamaican man, where one panel calls the woman "tourist" and the 2nd calls jamaican guy "local" and the other 2 panels are the opposite?
Another one where it shows that the taxi is fast and the subways are slow, and the other two are opposing thoughts.
I have always peeled my bananas from the first way and never have thought of doing it from the "bottom" but that makes so much more sense as it gives you a handle. I think I am going to start doing it that way now!
Potatoes I peel with a potato peeler and do it away from me so that the skins land away from me. If I use a knife I ways do away from me so that I less likely to cut myself.
When I was trained as a BK manager you need to open boxes with a box knife away from you. My boss once cut herself really bad by cutting towards herself when she knew not to.
I was watching one of those reality shows where they teach some "rough" girls how to be a princess and they taught them how to eat a banana with a knife and fork. A princess is apparently not allowed to touch the banana with their hands.
I'm always thinking about and bringing up in conversations the nuances of "perspective" and more importantly "perception". Similar to what you said about different values, and experience, we all perceive and process the world around us differently.
I think the banana should be peeled as u do since the big "handle" gives more leverage to start a not-so-ripe banana. Also when u get to the end, u have that little bit of stem to hold on to that u aren't going to eat that is still in the peel when u are done. In the other method u will have to dispose of it separate from the peel.
WRT the potato, your method is safer for everyone since u are using your hands and fine motor skills that u won't have with your arm. Safety peeler it doesn't matter.
I thought the same thing. I'm gonna give the Auntie-approved method a try. :P ;) By the way, did anyone else have problems with the video's audio and video syncing? It seems like the audio lags behind the video a fraction of a second. It's kind of a annoying, but tolerable. Still, just thought I'd throw that out there, maybe it was just me. Great video Ponzi! :D

I love the studio lamp in the back corner, I got one of those from Pottery Barn.
As for peeling, I always do it over the sink and usually shred my fingers at the same time :).

Someone told me that if you peel your banana from the bottom you don't have to deal with the strands.
