Hey if you um look around on the web you can find that this phone is commonly nicknamed THE CRASHER! My faceplate was held on with packaging tape it was that crappy. But other than that the physical phone was tough as beans i just replaced it with the lg banter today best thing ive ever done.
seems like you were using Graphitti and you put the reset on auto?....that's what happened to me but I did a full reset and it worked perfectly afterwards.
Hey Did you try to update the Firm ware ? My phone was doing that too. I reset it like the one guy said then I updated the firm ware. instant fix. Oh also look into Teal OS for Palm.
your treo its right, just do a full reset, press the red key and press the center botton a few seconds, then you have to delete all your files pressing the "up" key and your treo will be right again!!

Just do a hard reset - press and hold red button when device is starting (on the Palm grey screen ;)) and confirm. :)
