Where do I send this: Dear Google, what do you think of businesses that increase your pagerank for $100 a month? I know that they work, so what is it they are doing, and can it be legitimate, and/or with in google's very strict guidelines?

Actually there is a way that this could happen. Google is in a position which could not only generate advertisers for itself; but also for many of its users. Google has much that can be offered presently and in the future. Google actually has the ability to take us out of an economic crisis. Maybe one day I will have the opportunity to show them how. :)

I would buy the domain name AFTER I had set up a gmail account with all the add ons such as YouTube, Picasa, Panaramio and so on.

I would set up a blogger account (add a few plug ins) THEN spend the £10 on a domain for the Blogger site - and I would only use Google Checkout for online payments

ehh I would buy the shoe cleaning kit then profit from that, pay back my investors and then from there make more money buy a domain name and also have a semi-stable source of income to start a small site. My teachers always hated my logic.

I love this question as it was the basis of our recent book "The Secrets of Working and Making a Living in Spain" We asked the question with $50. After a ton of research and testing I would say buy an aged domain for a specific keyword, hostgator hosting, a WP blog for that domain, get content on it, and then add in adsense and affiliate deals, as Matt says in the video adding value not just spamming and with any leftover $ adwords because quality score should be high

Just to put it out there, the cheapest while still high quality hosting that I've found would be afmu.com..

You probably want to design the site and have it to the point where all you have to do is upload the page, to minimize how long you are paying for hosting. Then find a banner exchange website in order to get free traffic. Also try to utilize social media for that initial hosting.

£10 isn't much but sounds like a fun challenge!

Dear GoogleWebmasterHelp, you must be out of your mind. Even if you were educated to degree level, were an experienced developer-designer and if electricity, broadband and development-time were all free, then you would be left with the biggest challenge to online success: the google search engine itself.

It was once possible to create this type of business, before google implemented the "power only goes to the powerful" algorithms.

@emmetor Lol! I don't know why people are giving you thumbs up. You obviously have no idea how to start a successful online business.

I started a website a few years ago in my spare time. Today, it makes me about $120 in profit - after paying for hosting expenses - every single month. Almost all of its traffic comes from Google absolutely for free, and I no longer even work on it.

So, please know what you're talking about before criticizing this video.

@slvrmsngr - Correction: I started a site that was eventually making me $6000 per month in profit. Mr Bin Laden kicked it in the nuts, along with various natural disasters that hit the travel industry. I always bounced back, until Google made my sites a ghost-town. So, all my travel keywords started to point to MSN, AOL, CNN, ABTA.

Why? because PageRank cannot do the only thing it's supposed to. It can't rank pages because it's not capable of thinking like a human. Page Rank can't Rank Pages

@slvrmsngr Seriously though - I'm still interested in this debate. It sucks that you did a few years work and end up with $30 per week from it. However, the fact that you generated that much traffic is still significant.

Would you share with us, how you do it? If I can see a dependable way of getting even 100 true visitors per day, - that's a chink-of-light right there. I'll change from selling hotel rooms to selling Toyotas.

@Films4You Agreed and true. At the end of the day, you'd be better of having a product or service to sell. But if you don't have one you'll have to do what most of bloggers and publishers do - help sell other peoples stuff. This is where AdSense comes in as a quick solution.

For £10 you can get a whole year of hosting, or with some .info offers (think $2/domain)... you do the math, and use a free host like 000webhost

Spend the remaining ~£8 on adwords.
