please explain why you bring your hand back in tan sau before the strike. I have been taught not to do this. Unless its solely for the purpose of making sure the fuk sao person follows. Please answer. much respect
@Highguy249 : We bring the fuk sao back a little to take his balance. The fuk simulates a grab. The fuk sao person then learns to sense when to release , but still stick to the opponent. Some say bringing the fuk sao back will open up the centre line. True, but we are aware of this and will counter any attempt by the opponent to come around and attack the centre line. Sometimes we actually open up the centre line to lure the opponent in to our space; we give him a lure so we can control him.
