Dude, I felt the exact same way when I first got the cd. I was strongly considering harassing amazon until they would give me money back. haha

I thought every song just sounded like really really long parts that weren't going anywhere, mashed together. After a few weeks and listening through the whole thing a few times though, now I can't get enough of it. I think I just needed to figure out the layout of the songs, because they are a lot more drawn out and what not.
