The point of this video was not about being liberal or conservative.
The point was that many of these conservative rallies involve companies and wealthy people with an agenda actually paying for people to take buses and paying for these protesters to go to the events.
HTWW was trying to claim that TYT was also funded in the same way to make their rally happen, and he has been proven wrong.
No he hasn't been proven wrong and you have missed the point entirely. TYT sponsored those rally's. Maybe not as well as others have, but nonetheless SPONSORED, coordinated and promoted.
The tea party movement started as a grass roots movement, and was partnered by others as we picked up steam, and sought out help. Not the other way around like the protests at CNN.
TYT aren't journalists. They have never claimed to be. They were trying to get CNN to simply mention a fact. A fact that majority of Americans want a public option.
Fox news says they are a news organization. They partnered with organizations that supported their agenda, and promoted the story. It wasn't picked up by any news outlet (that I know of).

I believed Cenk's problem with these "astro-turf" groups is that there seems to be certain people in these groups that cannot supply rational arguments for their beliefs and therefore are told to resort to such unsavory tactics as yelling down those who disagree with them. Obama said if we passed the 750 billion dollar stimulus unemployment wouldnt go above 8% Its now over 10%. Is he a liar or a dumbass? Second, their whole protest was based around dozens of surveys taken over a span of a few months. With the amount of people in those actual surveys ranging from 56% to 77% who were in favour of the Public Option in the Healthcare debate. Then again, facts don't register with idiots.

The meaning of astroturf essentially means yes there are people with money behind your ideology. It also has a secondary account in which you howtheworldworks exclude. It is that mass transport of people were bussed in from other parts of the country to support your side. They were fed and put up for the night in hotels paid for by these donors. That is why you see more than a usual crowd at these events on weekdays while every one in the area are working.

The point of this video was not about being liberal or conservative.
The point was that many of these conservative rallies involve companies and wealthy people with an agenda actually paying for people to take buses and paying for these protesters to go to the events.
HTWW was trying to claim that TYT was also funded in the same way to make their rally happen, and he has been proven wrong.

The tea party movement started as a grass roots movement, and was partnered by others as we picked up steam, and sought out help. Not the other way around like the protests at CNN.
