To all Asians:What do you think if somebody "Occidental"goes to your country(could be China as an example) to play a concert of chinese music. And instead of playing with respect towards it, that musician since the very beggining of the concert makes all kind of ridicolous things laughing on it, and a kind of monkey mongoloid language, completely disrecpectful and pissing on you.WHat do you do? You give him claps?or you kill him?So why not occidentals make the same with this bastard?
i would applaud him for getting the opportunity to perform. Obviously he would have to pass some sort of test to be allowed to perform chinese music to chinese people. If someone high up decides he has talent in chinese music, then HE DOES.
Even classical compositions with the most rigid forms can be adaptable to new, different approaches by Lang Lang.
Every performance, we are a captive audience to his Protean transformations. He makes an incredible connection when he triggers into motion our lever of yearning, of solemn wonder, of dread, of thrill, of joy.
Even when he is already one of the most important performing artists in our time, malleability is still one of his greatest assets. He has the capability to shape in a profound state even the most difficult piece by his own unique ways of expressing his musicality and technique which simply reflects his joie de vivre, creative spirit and great sensitivity.
this is awesome

I love where he explains that Tan Dun's composition is pure love and contrasted that to the playboy, Don Giovanni.
