Thank you for putting up this video. Anything with Jesper as Tod is welcome. :3 He's amazing as Rudolf but also as amazing as Tod. <3 And I think his duet with Sven Olaf is great, their voices harmonize really well.

I LOVE Jesper as Der Tod! There's something very cold and sinister about him, and he's got so much class and dignity...it's like he's powerful and he knows it, and everyone else knows it, so he doesn't have to flaunt it. CREEPY. I love him!
To my shock when I rewatched this video, I saw I hadn't commented yet. Much love for uploading! It makes me wanna lobby the studio to release an Essen dvd again. Jesper does a great job, though I prefer Uwe slightly more.

Oh, when I was a little child, my mum was singing musicals, too. In this time she was a friend of Olaf.
I remember, that our toaster was burning after toasting a small pice of bread. Olaf was liking trhis little pieces. he was often been at our home. I liked him a lot. What a pity, that the contact is broken.
It's a great video and Jesper as 'der Tod'is brilliant but his acting (I know, all had to do the same) reminds me too much on Uwe Kröger. But his voice is beautiful.
OMG. I thought I'd never get to see this video again. When these two sing together, I get shivers down my spine. INCREDIBLE. Why oh why couldn't they have used this instead of the Wien production for the DVD? :(
Jesper is absolutely fantastic as Der Tod. And I'd like to comment on Sven Olaf Denkinger as well, he's been one of my favorite Rudolfs for awhile now. Thanks so much for putting this up.

Jepser is fantastic as der Tod. I like him better in this role than as Rudolf.
My only problem with this video is that Rudolf doesn't turn away soon enough at 3:15, and der Tod has to turn away instead.
