oh, how I miss watching him play! I grew up next door to Mike, along with Reggie, Dewell, Jason, and Adrian. I remember when he hurt his knee, and the pain he was in. I only wish he would have been able to go further in his career. He was an amazing player
Adrian Peterson would've been chasing all of Gaddis' records if not for that knee injury , and he definitely would have been at the Downtown Athletic Club a couple of times, then off to the NFL. The other gret back that nobody gives enough credit too is Demond Parker. He was a beast for being under 200 lbs.
Gaddis was a great rb injuries did him in. He went to HS with my cousin as did the Gundy's and a few others. Mike Gaddis and Cale Gundy were realy nice guys. Wonder what Gaddis is up 2 these days.
Played basketball against him as a senior in high school. He would have won the heisman had he not hurt his knee against Texas. Just a freak play...didn't even get hit when it happened. Damn artificial turf.
I played with Mike Gaddis his final year at OU. He was the coolist football player I have ever met. If not for that knee injury against texas he would have been a serious Heisman contender.

I believe that's Bob Carpenter doing PBP, Corso is doing the color on the game. This was before ESPN did game day stuff.

I remember watching Gaddis play after his knee injury and he was still very impressive, sporting a 4 yard per carry average.. ..Where is he now?

Sanders had 38 carries 238 yards and two TD's. Gaddis had 18 carries 218 yards and two TD"s. I have this game on tape, the whole espn broadcast.

Gaddis was a major Heisman contender prior to his knee injury.

Gaddis was amazing. He would've been a super star had he not been riddled with injury. Good video.
