I USED to have acne really bad, and i found a natural mixture online! It has Honey Sugar and 100% Extra Virgin olive oil in it. I love it!!!!!!!! its worked wonders for my skin. its like a cleanser, exfoliator, toner, and moistureizer(or how ever you spell it) ALL IN ONE!!! and you just mix it all together and store it on a jar, and use morning and night. you will see results on about two weeks!

Tea Tree Oil DEFINITELY helps

Its antiseptic so helps remove germs so your skin can combat the spot.

Its in alot of face products (sometimes mixed with witch hazel which is also good but i think smells a bit weird)

But i think the best way to buy it is in a more concentrated form (or in a foam face wash can be cheaper), you can get little bottles of it that seem a little pricey for the size but you just dab it to the area and let it soak in. Happy Families =)

@CiaoBellaxxo If you're willing to buy a little bit of an expensive foundation/face product, go for bare minerals!! Over this past summer I went to a derm and got prescribed this topical medicine for my face, but it had HORRIBLE effects and ended up intensifying my skin from 5 pimples at the most to horrible cystic acne all over my forehead, the sides of my forehead, nose and chin. AWFUL! I needed to cover it without harming my skin, which is sensitive/fair. Original Bare Minerals, try it :)

@CiaoBellaxxo Clinique has foundation and a facial cleaning system for acne prone people. I really like them ... I have moderate acne (mostly pretty bad on my chin), but it has helped to clear it up. Even the foundation is specifically for acne. You can buy it direct from Clinique or at Sephora or any dept. store. Good luck!

sorry, but you're wrong about tea. if you make your tea from plants, especially from plants that help with detoxifying your body, you're even better off than with plain water. now obviously that only applies to natural tea, no sugar added, not granulated tea or artificially flavored or any of that stuff. I find sage and heartsease tea is the best for me, although you can't go wrong with green or red tea, either.

@AnjieKristenR You said there might be a possibility that you are allergic to salicylic acid. Have you ever had aspirin? Aspirin is full of salicylic acid. Also, aspirin mask is a cheap way of getting salicylic acid for your acne. You can do a skin test by putting a small amount of moist and crushed aspirin on your arm and wait a day to see if you have a reaction.

Tea is actually good for your skin. Even better than water (provided you don't put in sugar or honey or anything else in it). Because tea not only replaces fluid like regular water does but it also contains anti-oxidants which help to slow down aging. If you've ever wondered why asians have such good skin, one reason the is the green tea. You can even put the green tea bags on your skin to help with acne and redness.

i used clean start when they first came out, and it didnt really work..i love dermalogica but theyre clean start ddnt work for me, so if you have acne i recomend murad acne.

emergency breakout fix: put some 2-isopropyl alcohol (sold as 70% isopropyl alcohol or IPA in drug stores) on a Q-tip and put it on the blemish; gone in about 5 min.

Thanks for sharing your story. I can relate, because I suffered with acne as a teen. It was

horrible. In the end, I found that a new improved 3 step application process worked the best for me, and believe me, I tried them all.

I had horrible acne... these tricks work:

1) Wash your face really well (Vichy normaderm, or lush products work great!!!!)

2) I use rose water on a cotton pad as a toner and I litteraly slap my face to get the blood flowing to it. ( Not hard enough to reallly hurt you though...)

3) Use pure organic tea tree oil or vichy normaderm active anti-imperfection concentrate as a spot treatment.

4) Let absorb, then add your moisturizer.

Drinking lots of water too helps!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing I disagree with is that Salicylic acid is really bad for your skin. It works like a drug so the second you stop using it regularly your skin will break out much worse than it was originally prior to any treatment. I am a student at Cornell studying this kind of thing and that what has been the result of most all clinical studies.

Dermalogica is good stuff. Normally you can only purchase it at a skin care center or a good spa. I am personally a huge fan of Decleor. For those who cannot obtain or afford spa grade skin care products, and you have acne issues, obtain anything with the ingredient salicylic acid in it. St. Ives 'Naturally clear' (orange label) green tea cleanser. It's great!

Just one more thing that has made a HUGE difference for me with acne is WHAT YOU'RE EATING and TAKING VITAMINS. The water is definitely a huge thing too! But in combination with CLEN EATING and taking VITAMINS (I take "women's code" and a fish oil EVERYDAY- it HAS to be CONSISTENT). If you combine those three, I PROMISE you'll see a huge difference. I went from acne to clear skin by doing that... and I wash my face with a homemade sugar, honey lemon scrub! Lol! :)
