I was at this concert in LA. This song was the *most* moving piece in any concert I have ever been to. The darkness, the film loop, everything. It's alway stuck with me. <3
@TideatMileHigh: I know. I saw it just a couple weeks before this show on Halloween in LA at what was, at the time, The Great Western Forum. It was pretty much exactly the same performance. And AWESOME!!! :D I always tell people about what a cool song this was to see live. Now I can show them. :D :D :D
As much as I love Kurt, Michael wrote this for River Phoenix too. He died a couple of months after Kurt (he was only 23) and he and Michael were like brothers.
RIP Kurt Donald Cobain and River Jude Phoenix. Even though you died before I was even born, you affected my life so much.
maybe it's just how strong the melody is, and how it repeats itself so solemly that it almost becomes a seprate ambient sound you know? it's so beeautiful I have a hard time describing it.

@miaxxsmiles This is true, except that River Phoenix died about 6 months before Kurt.

The guitar used by Mike Mills in this video belonged to Kurt Cobain (given to Peter Buck by Courtney Love)

You're right ! And this same guitar is in the clip of "What's the frequency kenneth?" =)

@lbguitz2
Beyond rare guitar.... one of two original Jag-Stang's made. Cobain was dead before the red one was finished. Just wanted to throw that in there.
