does anyone know why the fuck this was the only year, k1 max final tournament was only a 4 man tournament

i just don´t know why cause normally it always has been a 8 men tounament so you have to win three times in a row to win the k1 max title

i just assume it could have something to do with the japs to make the way easier for souwer or petrosyan knowing that buakaw is an amazing tournament fighter and they obviously didn´t want him to win because then he would have had to face masato
