Amazing movie. Downfall is on par with movies such as Schindler's List and The Pianist. Bruno Ganz (Hitler) was incredible! I'll be honest I had my doubts at first after learning it was all in subtitles and was nearly three hours long, but at the end of the movie I was kicking myself for neglecting to watch Downfall sooner. GREAT movie! Two things stand out in my mind among everything. Number one was how suicide became commonplace. In the middle of otherwise normal, mundane scenes you'd hear a gunshot and the camera would pan to show a German soldier had just swallowed his weapon. Number two was how the 3 German and 3 Soviet attaches would just meet up, very cordial and respectful, in the middle of the war zone to talk about an armistace. I assume these things really happened this way. Pls advise me if I'm wrong.

It would be a good thing, if every one of them was shot, while the weasels tried to escape.
Remember these where the people which made it possible for hitler to do his evil work.
Even for the woman who was the secretary, I am glad for here she survived, but I wouldn't shed a tear, if she was killed on the run.

Then, there comes this promising and charismatic politician who can help you see positively and seems to have all the answers to the nations problems.
