  • My family was treated very much the same at this time even though my granddad fought for the US and was an interpreter who interrogated German prisoners after he had been wounded. The only difference was at that time there were a lot more Germans where I grew up than any other nationality.

  • They should have treated the british royal family the same, they're german too.

  • A german cloud will produce rain which means water. Water is the essence of life itself.

The sun of the British empire would dry up everything and leave it a desert :| Stickywicket?

  • @warhamerrookie2

    Haha troal

  • Stupid kid.

  • your holding it upside down "indeed i am" hahah

  • This is the most hilarious example of short attention span/stupidity preventing the full viewing of a movie I have ever seen. 320000 views for part one, only a quarter of that now.

  • I first saw the male lead in a sorta funny western set in pre-republic Canada.

I liked him in that & his presence in this film kept me watching. I'm glad of that. I've found another good film.

  • christ this kid is annoying

  • @sharpezor He is. I agree.

  • ammmmmm

    GET BACK TO THE WAR

  • @fabianczisch If a can add my 2 cents: "Krauts" is what they are called :), short for Sauerkraut (a kind of steamed cabbage that the Germans eat lots of)

  • @qwertz8484

I enjoy Sauerkraut. It's made from the red cabbage. Boiled hot & for a short time (2 minutes, tops) with a bit of butter & some cracked black pepper in the water. Thoroughly drained, it's a great side vegetable.

My family used to visit 'the German Club' in Adelaide. I always had the roast duck & sauerkraut. Yummo.

  • Very Boring film

  • 1:40 etc What WOULD they do for villains without the British? The exact same sentiments would've been expressed by many Canadians but no, he HAS to be British, or rather more specifically, English. You expect that lazy stereotyping all the time from Hollywood but Gross has adopted the same cliche to play to the same gallery.

  • LoL do not plow a foreign field

  • What Where The Blueprints Of????

  • @ThePortadump

A flying machine based weapon. I think the old guy with the plans is just some quack.

  • HELLO CANADA FROM BRITAIN

  • Thumbs up if you recognized the American Submarine "Turtle" in the blueprints.

  • Stupid neighbors!!! "Lines are tricky, front line, side line, behind the line, lines do not even know the lines, you don't even see it until you cross it. if you don't see it, you do not fit."

  • its funny how much they wannted to send people over when they havent seen the battlfield cowards

  • LOL @ how the officer handled both the conversation and the "blueprints" to that device that would end the war in 48 hours XD

  • "ur craftsmanhsip is impressive"

    ur holding em upside down

    "that i am"

    lol

  • right changing movies now

  • "mind if i have word with you" CRACK head butt

  • This movie should be renamed "Canada".

  • 5 parts full of shit in a "war movie"

  • @fabianczisch its not a movie about war, its a movie about the people in the war. nobody wants to see 2 hours straight of fighting

  • @meunier251 you might be suprised

  • @meunier251

But that's the problem, we're stuck in the middle of a generation that has been reared on "Rambo" movies, Chuck Norris movies, and now with Michael "Explosions" Bay (no disrespect intended, Mr. Bay, pyrotechnics can be cool), if something doesn't blow up every 5 minutes, a movie is "crap".

  • @fabianczisch

Comedy movies aren't funny 100% of the time, romance movies aren't sex from start to finish, and "war movies" don't have to be battle sequences from start to finish.

  • @funstuff2006 you compare apples and oranges. i supposed to watch a movie about war thats all. and i saw a movie about a story of a person that was / is involved in war activities. to me it was like i dont watch black hawk down the original( what i expected), but i watch the story about one of the UN troops at the end of the movie(the two "water boys") its just boaring to see nothing but love and romance in a supposed war movie -.- try to catch that ... all of u

  • @funstuff2006 btw, i said that i WOULD watch a movie 2hours full of ware because that is my PREFERANCE and "5 parts full of shit" is my OPINION. i did not say that it HAVE TO BE 100% battle, i said it would be cool or sth., that comes from your imagination which is beautiful but i simply dont think that way. and simpsons for example isn´t it 100% funny (with introductions of every scene that the viewers know why to laugh). romance - sex ?u mean porn - sex ?->100% if its a good one

  • I thought kids needed to hit puberty to sign up for the army??....

  • Lmao "my nose" 6:25

  • Anyone who thinks this movie is boring is a dunce.

  • Hungary, first to fight!

  • WOW this dude is awsome!! 'i fought on the same ridge as your father, it might have been me that killed him'

dude!! if telling a girl that you might have killed her father doesn't get you laid, nothing will!!

  • Can someone please explain what "Hun" means in them movies context? Idk that much about WW1, thanks

  • It is a way to call germans.

    Like: Americans-Yanks

  • @DutchPride96 ahh I see ty

  • @DutchPride96 u can call us on english we understand u well^^ Greatings from Germany Nordhorn Niedersachen

  • @Apophis1966 Alot of people, no most everyone does not know the politic's that pushed germany into the first world war, not sayin what followed was right but many other countrys instagated it. Pardon my spelling, I read much more then I right. The german people have endured much since then. Its amazing the country has survived at all. Good luck in the future I say, may your leaders always be peace seekers that carry a big stick.

  • @DutchPride96 whats the explanation for Hun ? i only know the "crowds"

  • @fabianczisch

the Huns were a nomadic tribe who 'migrated' migrated into Europe at the Roman Age.

A Reknown speech from Kaiser Wilhelm II ("Mercy will not be shown, prisoners will not be taken. Just as a thousand years ago, the Huns under Attila won a reputation of might that lives on in legends, so may the name of Germany in China, such that no Chinese will even again dare so much as to look askance at a German.") gave them the nickname 'Huns'.

I hope this answers your question.

  • @FroaggaLaMajaga Hun is the hoard from the East. The Chinese call Korea Hun Guo, the land of the Huns. You might have heard of Attila the Hun, the Scourge of God (Attila's been dead for 1600 years, but it's still a name that strikes dread in Europe). Kaiser William said publicly he wanted his troops to move through Belgium and France like the Hun. The Allies took up on the phrase.

  • @gamesbok no he said that they should be remembered like the Hun in China during the Boxer rebellion.

  • @paratrooper6 His 1900 address to the German Imperial troopos, indeed.

  • @FroaggaLaMaja

Huns were the worst of the germanic barbarian tribes during the latter period of the Roman Empire. They behaved as complete animals just as the germans did in both world wars

  • Warmovie?

In warmovies you see war. This is not the case.

  • are kids with asthma this hard to deal with?

  • y'know it'd be great if people shut up about this film not being war related! you have to wait, it just can't plunge into fighting straight away! there's fighting later!!!!

  • where is the fighting

  • @ULostbro Part 4- 07:42

  • @LordRucktuk thats a flashback

  • Yeh, deither I'm a shitty, German fucking subhuman

  • Ya dieter ich bein a shiza daucher faflukta untermench

  • The fuck is going on in this movie

  • at one point the man says 1 million dollars. if this is canadian, shoudlnt it be pounds

  • @MrJFB135 ?????

  • Wow this movie is slow.

  • Seems like you idiots can't see it. This movie is trying to tell you. In war everyone's a victim. US,Canada,UK,Germany ect ect. nobodies better then the next. So get off your high horse and stop with the macho Pride bullshit.

  • This movie, is great

only when you can't sleep at night.

Seriously, it is great.....its boring but yet its good, I'm enjoying it.

  • rule britannia! and god bless canada

  • BORING fucken movie

  • I love watching a movie based on my heritage and that is filmed based in Calgary where I live. xD

  • wow, canadians can be assholes LOL, i didn't Think it was possible! they wrote HUN in red letters on someones house haha

  • @larsjake it's cause they were German and their father was fighting for Germany. and everyone can be an asshole.

  • @larsjake oh yeah we are ass holes the germans slaughtered millions of people in ww2 the americans massacred innocent people and destroyed there villages in vietnam and the KKK has done shit loads worse than breaking windows and writing huns on peoples walls in red paint learn some history before you go ripping on a nation for 3 men in a movie

  • Watching this makes me a proud ninth generation canadian

  • holy shit they honestly casted to worst chouce for that young kid, he has by far one of the most annoying voices so far that I have ever heard how old is he? Just his charachter and voice alone make this movie sooooooooooooooo hard to watch

  • hey ar the nurse in the begining named sarah the same person as the sarah that's in this part and whose father was a trader.

  • Oh... shit... I just watched the rest of that scene...

    She is German...

    Damn...

So the Major and I are on the same page...

  • "Civilization hangs in the balance so I offer a word of warning... Do not plow a foreign field."

    That hot nurse is German?!?!

I know that nurse isn't German... but it was the first thing that came to my dirty mind...

  • what is the name of the blonde girlfriend of that buy with asthma?

  • 6:25 don't mess with vimy vets

  • a machine that travels around the world in 15 minutes.

    MY ASS IT WiLL

  • Not all British are like that, it's just a stereotype, i'm British and not many people i know are like that.

    Just saying.

  • @BommyBum13 I think they just needed someone that looked or talked different so there'd be a clear villian.

  • when does this film become realistic?

very bored with it so far...nice special effects at the beginning to pull us in but...........a very limp film after that.

  • @FACTUNTHJU that is a fact

  • @FACTUNTHJU Thats the unfortunate thing about it, I too have complained at the fact that the film focuses too little on the actual battle it is named off of.

  • @FACTUNTHJU just skip to part 9 if you want to see the actual battle

  • @FACTUNTHJU

Maybe you didnt notice yet, but this film is not one of these Hollywood-action-crap movies. Its not about the war in its cleaned version you can see in many of these, its about what war does to people.

And how much more realism do you want?

guy gets shot --> hes dead

  • @PPantherProductions Can I double thumbs up this comment?

  • @FACTUNTHJU AHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAH! You wouldn't know what realistic means.

  • @YourFatClownAss dude this is boring.

  • @joe117pwn What you meant to say is that it aint your kinda movie. If you consider the special effects at the beginning realistic then I don't really know what to say.

  • @YourFatClownAss just saying it's boring 80% of the entire movie... I only learned some effects during the intro and ending of the movie.

  • @Wrongstatementsclear I haven't seen Flags of our Fathers yet but I've got both the DVD and the book.. so is it a shitty film or what?

  • @berserker276 Well i personaly did not like it . I dont know why but i just didnt .

But Flags of our fathers has more brains in it than for example Black Hawk Down.

I´m sorry but what do you have , what for DvD and book do you have ?

  • @Wrongstatementsclear I've got the DVD and the book for FooF. I've read the first few pages of the book and it's quite good, I was thinking about what I'd read all day and the way it was described.

  • @berserker276 I didnt know there was a book. Well , maybe I´d like the book more than the movie. Where´d you buy ?

  • @Wrongstatementsclear Actually my sister found it in like a second-hand bookshop lol.

  • @berserker276 :) haha .

  • @FACTUNTHJU It's like having sex with a tranny. It looks great before the clothes come off, but once they come off it get's kinda weird. Although in the end, you still get an orgasmic feeling.

  • it would bring the end to the war within 48 hours

    - delightful LOL

  • has the guy with asthma actually hit puberty yet? or is it a mildy sore throat?

  • @HdGameTrailers09 well he fucked that fine ass white bitch who looked satisfied.

  • in exactly 15 minutes haha imagin if it actually worked.

  • @viper10011 lmao yeah i know , that guy was a nuttie

  • The protagonist looks like buzz lightyear.

  • that asthma guy is really annoying

  • @mamtrol hes suppost to be lol.

  • My great grandmother was born in Germany, but lived most of her life here in America, she barely spoke German anymore when we entered the war. Nevertheless, she had to regester as as a German immigrant and have a card IDing her as such made. My mom still has the card, she looks really pissed.

  • @toby4700 same went with Japanese and I guess not only in US... it is understable precaution... what is very sad is the behaviour of the neighbours... I don't speak only about this movie, but generally...

  • How does he manage to kick over those headstones? Were they trying to make this movie as bad as possible?

  • @uchitil well, it's set in the past, maybe the headstones weren't that heavy, or weren't stuck far in the ground? just sayin

  • @goldust8 well headstones were and really fucking heavy

  • @CJL1194 well, it's a movie so i don't think it matters much. lol you can find all sorts of things "wrong" with every movie on the planet if you're looking for it.

  • @goldust8 thats a pretty weird detail to put in a movie

  • @zacharpohl what? that he kicks over a headstone? it doesn't seem weird to me... he's frusturated and upset... it makes sense. sure, it may seem weird that he actually is ABLE to kick it over, but i personally don't care. i've seen weirder things lol

  • @goldust8 Not all are stuck in the ground. One of my relatives gravestones is not stuck in the ground at all, we have to wiggle it around and push it everytime we are there to lay some flowers

  • @Stravinsky91 exactly. some other commentor was complaining that it wasn't realistic when he kicked over the headstone, so thank you for helping me with my counter argument.

  • @uchitil This was the second best movie I've ever seen. The first being Avatar. But I agree with goldust8. They probably weren't that far into the ground.

  • @uchitil You've commented on two parts of this movie so far, which leads me to believe you are simply trying hard to be as much of an asshole as possible, or you in fact enjoy the movie thus keep watching. Either way, you're an idiot.

  • i love that part.... "mind if i uh.. have a word with ya?" *headbutt* xD

  • in exactly 15 minutes hahah imagin if it worked and he threw it out.

  • just cause your a german dont mean your a damn hun your fighting for your country not the government

  • lolololololololololol funny stuff
