she's good! but saw EVH do all this technique, which he invented nearly 30 years ago. Eddie used to turn his back to the camera's on live shows, so they couldn't see what he was doing to the guitar, to get that sound. Saw Van Halen blow Black Sabbath off the stage in Sheffield, as a support band on their first ever UK gig, and was hooked. The rest is history, Michael asked EVH to do the solo for 'Beat It' and everyone just stole it from then on.

@sugarlilly321 - $700's a bit much. I disagree with those suggesting a cheap guitar. You get what you pay for and they have horrid sound and feel. I think maybe $300 - $400 is plenty for a guitar to learn on. Actually a Fender strat feels awful if you're on the small side. It really weighs down on your trapezius till you shift it, then it weighs down on the shoulder...IDK how to get comfy with it. So I'm looking for basswood(thinking MAB3) because it's super light.

Orianthi is simply loaded with talent. She can play so many different styles. Talent is talent. Judging her against others is a waste of time. Besides this girl is confident and not cocky and that says alot about someones character. She also obviously respects her mentors.
