When you took the Maxiglide and passed it over that one section of hair, my jaw DROPPED. lol! I couldn't believe how silky smooth it looked after ONE pass! I definitely want the MG XP!
does anyone know whether or not it makes a difference if you blow dry your hair before using the maxiglide, rather than not blow drying at all and going straight to maxigliding?
it doesnt matter really depending on how much time u have i have really thick course and tough to straighten hair but i always let my hair air dry completely then maxiglide but some people do blow dry real quick if their in a hurry like i do sometimes its all up to u it works both ways
The Maxiglide MP is capable of actually pulling out hair that isn't detangled properly.
When paired with a mild blowdry (and good smoothing products), the Maxiglide is able to move smoothly through kinkier, curlier hair. I have very curly hair so this never fails for me.
The girls in the demo with naturally kinky hair were blown out too.
actually yes the maxiglide can straighten the roots because of the protective ridges which the temp is lower then the interior it still gets hot but it won't burn your scalp i should know i have one and been using it since 2006 and it still works really well. oh yeah and i have naturally course curly hair, hope that helps
hey. Im a South African chik wit natural hair and i wanna knw if i wer to straighten my course natural hair wud it go back to its natural state or will it stay str8. But if it duz, duz anybody knw wat to do
hi remember me the maxiglide mooch lol i finally got my own i just wanna know what setting did you use when you used yours p.s love the locks very pretty
My aunt bought me that flat iron for my birthday, and I didn't know how to use it, I never knew you were supposed to use water, so I gave it away now I'm pissed cause I want another one and that thing is expensive.

It looks good but I would rather recommend the Kiyoseki Ceramic Hair iron. Your hair still looks a little nappy and you had to use about three different products. The only chemicals I use in my hair is a perm, otherwise I use straight up olive oil and the Kiyoseki and I get way better results then the chemicals and the Maxiglide that you used in this video. Also, your ends could use a little trim and your final result didn't look all that great. Sorry.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Sorry people, after watching this video, I would not recommend this iron. Notice that she used three different hair chemicals and a blow dryer and her hair is still technically not straight. In fact, it looks like you scorched your hair because your roots were still nappy and your ends are messed up. I noticed in a few parts you had to iron a piece about 3 times. With the Kiyoseki, you only have to go through each piece once and your hair is straight and not burned. Sorry, but just my opinion.
The maxiglide is an excellent product and comparing someone who straighten their natural hair to someone who straighten a relaxer is NOT an accurate comparison.
If you know someone who has natural non-relaxed hair who used this Kiyoseki, then your point is valid otherwise, it's not the point of this video. The person is showing how easy it is to flat iron NATURAL hair with the maxiglide. And we all experienced days when we are in between trims...
I have to agree with you the first two "chemicals" she put in her hair were to strengthen her hair against damage from the heat and to compare those two to a perm is a bit of a stretch
Maxiglide arrived yesterday and the product DELIVERS! I love it!! I have 4b hair and love the fact that I DO NOT have to blow dry it straight in order to use it.
do you have any problems with ur maxiglide, does it burn ur scalp and how good a job does it do
please answer because im seriously thinking about gettin this and im not sure how it will work for me because im in the process of growing out my perm and i have 4b/c hair
Thanks for posting your Maxiglide video! I am going to glide my hair this week! I am nervous because when I bought it a few months back, I tested a patch of hair WITHOUT a heat protectant and had the temp too high. The results: a permanently straightened patch of hair right down front! I refuse to cut it off! I will be careful this time.
gurl thanks for that i think i am going to buy that maxiglide my hair is natural i was thinking about relaxing it but i will stay natural an try what u did u look like u now came from the salon
Its nothing wrong with straightening ur hair sometimes u just want a different look to change it up...that doesnt mean ur trying to sell out or look "white" black hair is so versatile why not enjoy it
Your hair looks to great and healthy. Your hair looks a lot like mine, very thick. I was wondering if it was possible to get it a little less puffy. Don't get me wrong i LOVE my natural hair but i think i would look funny if it was puffy like that on me. Did you choose to not put too much heat on it or is that how it will look for me too?
Ok,...you're hair looks BEAUTIFUL! BOTH ways! How long have you been natural? I've been contemplating the MAXIGIDE for sometime but I only blow-out/straighten my hair once every 5 months or so so I wasn't sure it would justify the cost? Is it really that much better than a regular $40 ceramic flat-iron?
If you're gonna go with a ceramic, a $40 one is not the lick. It's more than likely ceramic "plated", or sprayed with ceramic paint. Eventually the paint will fade and pull your hair out as your use it. Infrashine's flat irons are the business!! Especially their GHD irons.
Are you using the blow dryer to dry your hair? Or for straightening purposes? If for the later do you believe it has a big affect on the final outcome?
its unbelievable how gorgeous, thick and healthy your hair looks straightened. relaxed hair usually looks flat, thin, and unhealthy so this is a great, non-permanant alternative. you look fabulous!
thank you so much for this video! i have natural hair just like yours (which is beautiful by the way!) and ive been looking for something to add versatility to my style. i saw a demonstration of the maxiglide and wasnt sure how well it would work on my hair, but after seeing your video girl i am ready to go buy one right now! thanks so much for posting this because it is EXACTLY what i was looking for. maxiglide needs to hire you! :)
a friend of mine asked me one time if i had the number of my hairstylist i told her i haven't been to a stylist in over a year and i used my maxiglide to straighten my hair and she was like "yeah right" cuz b4 i wasnt always good with my hair so i offered to do her hair and she was skeptical at first after i was finished she was amazed at how fast it was and she bought the maxiglide the very next day
when i use the maxiglide i usually don't put any product in my hair but i do wash it first with pantene relaxed and natural shampoo and conditioner but other than that i don't put anything else in my hair some people put products in their hair and some don't everyone's hair is different and we all know that:) but still i liked how u did your hair it looked really pretty
I have never seen that thing in action before. But mine turns out like yours with a sally knock off. In fact the ending of the video, your hair looked alot like mine 2 years ago when I straightened it and rolled it.
Dark skinned Africans do grow long hair. I have seen several with hair to the waist. Natural too, no chemicals. Keep your hair moisturized daily, stay away from heat, protect your ends, wash and comb at least once a week, and stop using brushes and you will retain your hair to reach longer lengths. Also, make sure you deep condition with protein and moisturizing deep conditioners at least once a week. Now go grow some hair!
@xoSTEPHiixo uuummm I don't get it what does you being african from africa with long hair has to do with this video? but then you ask how much the maxi cost lol
I really like your hair its so thick and healthy. How long did it take you to grow out your natural? And did you by the maxiglide from? I have relaxed hair and I use the Gold and Hot ceramics flat irons. But they really damage my hair b/c they hot really fast. So I have stopped using them and started pin curling my hair.
