actually Dexter was afraid of blood too. He said it many times both in the TV show as well as in the books. Quoting Dexter: "Blood...sometimes it sets my teeth on edge..."

And once when he went in that room filled with blood he had a panic attack...sry for rambling

He's a BLOOD SPATTER ANALYST. If he was afraid of blood, don't you think he'd have chosen a different line of work? He said it sets his teeth on edge because it THRILLS him--he actually LIKES it to some level. He has a panic attack because (SPOILER) he's reminded of watching his mother being murdered in a room filled, top to bottom, with blood - much like that room. In fact, he was set up for particularly that reason. He has no problem whatsoever with blood itself. Check your sources.

Ok, so I shouldn't have said that he's afraid of blood, but he definitely does not like blood. He mentioned more than once how he  sees blood as something extremely dirty. He was fascinated by his brother's murdered victims because their body parts were completely drained of blood.

you are right that DEXTER likes blood etc etc etc but this isn't Dexter, this is Six Feet Under and Michael C. Hall plays David Fisher, who is not a serial killer. And I don't think he was afraid of the blood in the scene, I think he was more grossed out and pissed that the system is all messed up.

Either way I love Dexter and Six Feet Under. 2 of the best shows ever made :)

How weird is this show? I thought she was having another dream sequence in the kitchen but a reality check hit me when they went to the basement. The picture taking was great. This show is so unpredictable - it's super.
