@steelyman40 When the government bailed out Chrysler they screwed the secured bond holders for the sake of the union workers unsecured bonds. That's one lawful contract they interfered with. To insist that some people owe other people a percentage of their property for no return interferes with property rights. The health care plan is a collectivist policy that all Americans must follow or else thay'll be fined, and if they don't pay the fine it's jail time.

Our financial system has already taken us over the cliff against our will. It should not be saved. Fiat currencies and fractional reserve banking are vehicles for robbing innocent people. They should be abandoned. Consumer choice should decide what medium of exchange best serves our needs. Obviously paper money backed by nothing is a horrible store of wealth, is not limited in supply, and thus is a horrible medium of exchange. The banking system is organized crime.

Most economists agree that massive fiscal stimulus is not effective at mitigating a recession's adverse effects. The BEST way to deal with recessions is monetary policy. Politicians can only mitigate fears.
