This is because, being accute sensory organs, they need to be protected and kept sensitive. Circumcision ablates the most sensitive part of the penis and renders the glans (a biologically internal structure) permanently exposed. This leads to a permanent loss of sensation (because of the excision of thousands of highly sensitive nerve endings) and a gradual reduction in sensation of the glans, which is not as sensitive as the foreskin anyway but becomes even less sensitive due to keratinisation.

A foreskin serves a purpose and isn't some redundent piece of skin. God put it there for a reason. It actually keeps the glans moist and reduces friction from clothing. human papillomavirus (HPV), including oncogenic types, in the glans/corona of

the penis, researchers from University of Hawaii in Honolulu report.

In a multiethnic, predominant

men had HPV infection in the glans/corona compared with 29% of circumcised men.

Statistics are one thing but loving your son is another. If you teach him to use safer sex practices he is much less likely than your cited studies to avoid all these bad things. Check those stats for yourself. Im not going to let my son go into life uninformed about these things and knowing all the facts, when he is an adult, he can make the choice for himself.

This neurotic obsession with diseases of the penis is conflated and unhealthy. The penis is a great thing. Use it. Enjoy it. Don't make anatomy into pathology. As far as sex goes, be wise. TORONTO July 2007,(Reuters) - Uncircumcised men receive no more sexual sensation than

circumcised men, according to a new study that contradicts the widely held belief.

Researchers from McGill University in Montreal Canada found that circumcised men felt the same amount of sensitivity to touch and pain in various states of sexual arousal

as those with foreskins.

And of course then there is hundreds of years of writings attesting to this as well, including those of Maimonides. And of course we all know that circumcision in the USA began during the 19th century to inhibit masturbation and decrease sexual stimulation.

@joikee However, even if none of this were true, there is still no good reason to amputate healthy functional tissue from a baby or child. It's a sick practice only practiced by a twisted peoples. For anyone with eyes to see it is obviously an anti-sexual procedure. There is no other operation removing healthy functional tissue permissable on a baby or child.

You would care if you had any understanding of human rights to bodily integrity. Those who respect rights know the decision should be left to the individual unless a medical issue *requires* circumciusion. The foreskin adds "gliding action" and keeps the glans moist and sensitive. The natural penis is "normal". The circumcised penis is a mutilation of what is normal.

You don't know much about the intact penis. Have you ever seen an intact penis? The foreskin is not extra skin. The foreskin helps not hinders masturbation. It is said man is made in the image of God. Adam had a foreskin. Does God have a foreskin? If not who circumcised him? God did not make a mistake when he created the foreskin.
