Mals r not difficult2 take care of basically they are a pack dog and do not like 2be left alone for long periods of time They have better temprement than Siberian Husky and r great with kids and other dogs if socialised properly.
It all depends on the owner cause my mal is no problem off lead and always comes back. They are very smart dogs and learn quickly. You must be PACK LEADER and establish yr position as soon as you own the dog preferably from a puppy or the dog will own you and show it.
No, malamute doesn't need much room. I live in a small flat.. Malamute needs long wanders ;) at least 3 hrs of activities daily (bikejoring, running). Of course not in summer (temperature...). You shouldn't let him run without dog lead (he can run away if he sniffs animal - deer, fox, hare..etc..).
It is hard to take care of malamute, because of his difficult character. Malamute is not good as first dog.
isn't it hard to take care of a malamute? i will be getting one but i heard it's not easy. you need so much room for them. is that right? tell me a bit more of what you need to do to keep it happy
Are you sure it's a malamute? Because it looks more like a siberain husky than a malamute! I'm a dog trainer/handler so I know what type of dog it is when I see one!
@ilovedoctorwhoand1dt - no offense..but should u even be a dog trainer if u cant recognize the difference between a husky and a malamute? lol..sorry...

Hey dog trainer, this is clearly a malamute. It is bigger than a husky and did you see the brown eyes?
