  • i,m very sad for my people

  • @zabocapate Always take a foreign journalist report on Haiti with a grain of salt. Things aren't always as they seem. Things are certainly grim in Haiti, nevertheless, I don't think a western journalist with no knowledge of the country is qualified to file a report just a few hours after landing there.

If you want to know about Haiti, find a radio station or newspaper online that's located in Haiti.

  • @beenn15 Why would you assume I have no knowledge of the country just because I don't live there? That's making an assumption on your part. There are places one could go in their own country and not know an area intimately. As a professional photojournalist it doesn't matter where I'm sent. There are things that are universal to the human condition and you don't need borders to observe and record them. Some of the same conditions in Haiti can be found anywhere.

  • @beenn15 And BTW, we were with a competent radio journalist who was intimately knowledgeable with the region and the situation we were sent to investigate, so to say we had no knowledge and that we were not qualified to report is just plain wrong.

  • My heart breaks watching this clip. Most foreigners wouldn't believe me if I told them that 25 years ago this city was the most beautiful and clean city in Haiti. One way to get Haiti out of poverty is to control the population. Hait is over populated, tubal-ligation should be performed on all unmarried women after 2 kids, visectamy on men also after 2 kids. The country has moved backwards instead of forwards. Control the population should be a priority now!
