  • @quelita28 The dolphins have a lot of relaxation time, however, they participate in active sessions for physical exercise as well as mental stimulation. (They like being challenged.) Beluga whales and orca (killer whales) have different habitat/environment needs than bottlenose dolphins. We would not be able to provide what they need here in the Florida Keys.

  • So is it like a place where dolphins can relax for them so they won't have too be overworked ? Also, how come this place doesn't have beluga whales or killer whales?

Lolita the killer whale from the Miami Sea Aquarium needs to retire and could be content in a place like this.

  • How did this place get those dolphins?

  • @quelita28 All of DRC's dolphins were either born at our facility or came to us for a variety of reasons (medical care; original facilities closed; rescued but non-releasable; retired from the Navy, etc.). None were imported from other countries.

  • Parrots such as cockatoos and african greys are experts in finding hidden

    objects as well.

  • I wanna research dolphins... especially what they can do with sound! MELONS!

  • Wow, great video. I hope futher research will give us answers on this question on dolphins.
