I am going on a mission trip in Ohio with my youth group to help with Autistic kids and so is my friend! I am so excited! It is going to be in June of 2012 which is this year!

My moms a perschool teacher and one of her kids is Autistic and he can barely talk and he cant really hold things but he so cute and is very smart he knows his whole apelbet and can count

I worked at a daycare earlier this year and one of my kids was autistic. It was extremely hard at times, but he was sweet and a very bright person.

why does so many here say that a ''cure'' for autism is good. its not something to be cured its a part of a persons identity not a disease

This is nice and all, but Autism Speaks is really not the best charity to support if you want to help people with autism.

I want to say, "Thank You", to Mitchel for supporting autism and helping raise awareness and money for research. My two sons have Asperger's with co-morbid conditions. I have had so many tough, tear-filled days that make me want to give up. But I can't. We have to pave the way for a real treatment for a condition that a child is diagnosed with every 20 minutes.
