Long Beach.... where the debris meets the sea.... I do remember WAVES before the breakwater........ we had beautiful clear big waves... and mass amounts of people enjoying it all... now its pretty sad.

Classic, great footage! The water quality in the harbor is the best it has been in 30 years. Better reports than many of the coastal areas and smokes Avalon Catalina! Get a clue dude, the reason there was so much pollution is that Long Beach sits at the mouth of the Los Angeles river, just as Seal Beach gets polluted by the San Gabriel River. Give it a week or two and mother nature takes care of itself. Quit sweating the breakwater. Mark my words, "It's here to stay"
Actually we have waves throught the gap quite often. Doesn't have to be a storm. It is just a swell from down east that will make it through the gap and we get a waves at the end of the peninsula
