All you have to use is Windows Movie Maker. If you have Windows XP or Vista, you should have it. Makes simple movies (If you want to do complex stuff then this might not be your thing), all you do is line up movies/pictures and the soundtrack.

Adagio For Strings by Samuel Barber, and old masterpiece used as the theme to Platoon

The Buffalo Hunt - John Barry's work for Dances With Wolves, also "John Dunbar's Theme"

The main theme of "The Day After Tomorrow"

Honestly, the main theme to Forrest Gump is brilliantly sad.

The piano and string theme to "I Am Legend" is a crazy tear-jerker.

Hans Zimmer only did the score for Pirates 2 and 3, it was Klaus Badelt that did the music for the first pirates. Get it right before you post it. And as for the song from Lord of the Rings, it was from The Two Towers, not the whole series. Thats not even the saddest song from the series because we all know Gollum is lost, a sadder choice would've been Into the West from the ending of The Return of the King. Other than that, I guess you did good.

Most of these aren't even sad, dude. The first two were by far the saddest soundtracks. If you want a REALLY sad soundtrack, try listening to "In Memories ~ KO-TO-WA-RI" from the Samurai X soundtrack (it might not be a live action movie or whatever, but it makes me cry every time I hear it). Although, it is much more sad if you actually know what happens in the movie (the saddest movie of all time, and it's rated extremely high). Everyone should look it up.
